  1. I have had 3 fills. After the last one, I notice a little restriction, but I am not losing. I think I am eating too much and i dont have to take small bites or chew alot. I feel pretty much like I did before surgery. When I get to the "green zone" will I be forced to chew more, take longer, therefore eat less?

  3. I was so confident about surgery until the week before- then I was a wreck. I questioned myself, beat myself up about why I ever got in this position, etc. then the night before surgery I was calm and sure that this was the right decision for me. I was still a little nervous of the unknown, but knew that I was on the right path. I had to stay in a hotel too. I bought Isopure Protein clear liquid premade shakes from my surgeon. They were $4 each, but I only needed 2 a day. Good luck! I had a hernia + lapband and had a lot of swelling-took me 2 weeks to feel better. I had surgery on Feb. 8th and have had 2 fills. Not in the green zone yet, but am on my way! You will be so glad you did this!

  8. I lost 12 pounds the first 2 post-op weeks and then nothing. I got my first fill last week and the scale is going down again. Your body is probably adjusting to the new you. I think we are all harder on ourselves than we should be. Just follow your surgeons instructions and you will get there!
  9. Well, I spent yesterday being poked and prodded to find that everything is normal. Just a lot of post op swelling. I think I have been drinking my Protein drinks too fast also. I have been so worried about getting that in that I am ignoring my body signals to stop drinking. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get 80 g+ protein when you feel full after one or two sips?
  10. Thank you all. I go in first thing this morning. I will keep you posted!
  11. I heard back from my doctor. They think it is my gall bladder! I have to get a sonogram - I am so upset at the thought of having another surgery in less than a months time. They sounded like they are pretty positive that this is the issue. My stomach is going to look like a butcher's block. Have any of you had this issue?
  12. I have called, waiting to hear back...I think I just was not prepared for how I would feel. I don't know anyone who has had this done. I wonder if it is the lapband or the hernia repair that is the source of this trouble? Thanks for the replies.
  13. I was banded on Feb. 8th. I have lost 12 pounds, and I will not have a fill until March6th. I had a hiatal hernia repair when I was banded. I still feel bad. I feel like a knife is going through my chest to my back and I feel lots of upper abdominal pressure. I was wondering if anyone experienced this, and how long it lasts. I don't want to be a baby, but I think I way under estimated my recovery period. Does anyone have any advice?
