  1. That's right! Every day gets a little better! I was banded 1 week ago and for me the first 3 days were horrible with nausea My Dr said to sip tea, apple juice or gatorade... Today I am feeling great! A little soreness at my port incision, but I finally have an appetite again! Good luck to you guys! Everyday you will notice gets easier and easier!
  2. I am in MA and we are expecting 20-30 inches of snow! I had my surgery 1 week ago so I am still home from work thankfully! Glad I don't have to worry about work and all that!
  3. I agree with everyone else... I was fine the first 3 days because if the nausea patch our doc gave us. Then I had the worst nausea ever! Days 4 and 5 I could barely sip water because of the nausea. I went for a barium swallow to make sure all was well and then he gave me a rx for zofran for the nausea. I have been awesome since! Like they said everyday gets better and better! We can do this!!
  4. So I went in for My barium swallow and everything looks great! I feel relieved. The doctor gave me an rx for zofran to control the nausea, and told me to sip gatorade or apple juice to help boost my blood sugar. I guess this is all part of the healing process.
  5. I did end up calling Dr Adam and he is repeating a barium swallow in the morning to make sure everything is ok...
  6. I was banded Jan 31 and was great the first 2 days, but after taking off the anti nausea patch, I have been miserable and horribly nauseous for the last 2 days. My surgeon is having me do another barium swallow in the morning to check the band. I pray everything is ok.
  7. I was banded on Jan 31St too and I am not feeling so good. I have tightness in chest. I put frozen peas and broccoli on my incisions and that helped a lot.
  8. Hi, I am 4 days post op and not feeling too hot My first day home I sat in a recliner and sipped an unjury protein shake all day and was fine. Yesterday I tried to sip a protein shake again and instantly got nauseous. Waited an hour or so and then tried broth and that was worse. I ended up calling my surgeon and he told me to relax have some Tums or maalox and sip some apple juice or water and take a nap. I did and felt better last might. I slept really well last might, still on the liquid percocet, but when I woke up I have a tightness around my chest. Like I'm wearing a bra that's too right. I tried a sip of protein shake and no go. Is anyone else feeling anything like this? All the other posts I've seen everyone is doing great and I almost want to cry that something is not right with me. I feel so weak and tired. I'm contemplating calling my surgeon again but I don't want to be a pain. How did everyone else do in the first couple days?
