  1. Good luck to all the people getting banded tomorrow!! I am getting banded at 9:30 am! Absolutely cannot wait! Hope to make it back to work on Monday!
  2. haha! I am gettling banded Friday as well! I am so ready, this two weeks of clear liquids has been hell!
  3. Anyone have any stories with their PCOS getting better as the weight has come off? This is one of the main reasons I am having lap band. MY OBGYN told me that if I lose enough weight I wouldn't have to take a pill to get my cycle! I was on metformin but she recently put me on birth control, and believe in me my cycles have been horrid. I have unbelievable hair growth, so I was just curious if anyone has seen a difference?
  4. My surgery date is Jan 25! Was aiming for Dec. 21 since I had met my deductible for the year already but I went out of town for the holidays instead! I am on day 3 of my pre-op diet and it has been an emotional roller coaster! I have to do two weeks of full liquids. (EAS Advatage meal replacement shakes, 4-6 a day, water or crystal light and broth/bouillon) I was crying last night because I wanted food so bad! I made some chicken, talked with a friend, and ended pouring bleach on the chicken as well as down my cereal box. I have read a lot that it does get better once your stomach gets adjusted to the diet! Hope this is true!!
  5. I have to do a two week liquid diet as well! Started yesterday and surgery day is the 25th of this month! How did you get through it? I am taking the shakes, and drinking tons of water! Any advice?
