  1. I have been having the same problems for almost a year. I thought it was because I got an IUD that was the only thing that I could figure out was different. I just read all that has been said on this thread and I think now that it was stress too. I was in home health care working all hours of the day and night caring for the elderly or disabled, single mom with 2 girls (11 and 3) and I also got married and not only have to share my closet but my bathroom too. lol he has 3 boys (11,8,5) the 11 has aggressive anxiety and has lashed out at my little girl more than once. A week after I was married I started a new job. I work for a quilting machine company in Utah. (I love it!) But it is a hole new world of stress, and my hubby is always sick. I was not wanting to recognized that I was having any of this stress at all I have been saying I'm just busy this is my life. The ladies I work with made metion the other day that I have a ton of stress in my life and wondered how I handle it. Little do they know I spend a lot of time in the bathroom PB'ing. I have had to stop and look at what I have going on and slow it all down I just got a small fill .3cc on 4/2/07 and so far I feel great no PB'ing. In fact it has been 2 weeks so I feel like something is changing for the better. Ashlee
  2. Oh I'm glad I saw that I will try to make it. We have my step-sons this week and my hubby is weird about dealing with all 5 kids alone. lol he is a whimp. Ashlee
  3. Jessica, I just missed seeing you. I had my fill at 10:30 with Vivian I love her she is so helpful. I only got .3cc this time I have been empty for over a year. We are going really slow to build back up. My next fill is April 30 at 11:30 I think I might drop in to the group on the 11th and see if I like it. Hope to see you there. Ashlee
  4. Jessica, When are the meetings I haven't been for so long I have no clue. I am going to attempt to get a fill on 4/2/07. I'm afraid it will hurt this time, Dr. Hansen just fixed my scar above my port and my tummy is tender. The last fill I got I had to get it out the next day because I could not even keep water down. Also tell me about this March challenge you are involved in? Ashlee
  5. I'm trying to decide if I should buy the package from SV Surgical for the year maintenance and the support group or no support group. Does anyone attend them, is it helpful? The last time I went was when I first had my band.
  6. I would say that you have to much in right now. Have the dr. drop it back to 7.5 cc and see how you fill. Any vomitting can cause a slip and that is not good. Have you called and talked to your dr. yet? What did he say?
  7. How do I get one of those ticker things?
  8. I worked for Harmony Home Health and Care Giver's Support Network. I would recommend Caregiver's first. I have had daily vomiting for a little more than a year now. I have learned in the last couple of days that it is fairly common thing called PBing and sliming. I had an IUD put in about a year ago and my band was suddenly way to tight they took all the fill out and I have still been tight I think I have decided to take the IUD out and see if it is the cause of all my stress. My new husband is always so worried about me when I throw up he thinks I'm bulemic.
  9. What hospice company are you using? I used to work for a couple different hospice company's. Good Luck with all that is on your plate right now, make sure you take care of yourself no one else can but you. I was a single mom with a 8 yr and 8 month old girls when I got my band and I did not allow my self the rest I needed and had problems with my scars healing one herniated and it stuck out about 1/2 inch. I hated it so much but never did anything to fix it till the beginning of this month I had Dr. Hansen fix it and boy it looks nice now. You could see it through my clothes it was bad. So don't forget yourself during this tough time I know how you want to help out your family but get some rest. Ok there is my Mom speech for the day. lol Ash
  10. Hey all you Utah Banders, My name is Ashlee and I have just found this site. I was banded April Fool's Day 2004 by Dr Hansen and I love it. I have started to have some weird problems with my band lately but I would do it again in a heart beat. Hope to here from the Utah group. Ash
  11. I hope you have not had a slip, if for no other reason than you DO NOT want to drink that stuff they do the barium swallow test with. I did it in Feb and it is aweful, nasty, disgusting, etc. Keep us updated as to what happened and what your doctor has advised.
  12. I tried that about 3 weeks ago and I got 1cc on thursday afternoon and by friday I was being rushed back in to have all removed because I could not even keep water down. So now I'm just trying to decide if I take out my I U D and go back to the pill and see if that will change things or just deal with it. My theory is that when a woman's cycle hits it bloats the stomach causing the band to be tighter and my stomach is now pretty much always bloated so it is always to tight. I don't know maybe I'm just a little bit nuts. Ash
  13. Sharon, I'm pretty sure you didn't have a slip. I have had problems with daily vomitting for the last year and vomitting is one of the easiest ways to have a slip. I just had a barium swallow done to see if I had a slip and I have not. I would not worry to much. Like I mentioned yesterday just slow down your eating and go to soft foods till the pain eases up. When I get that pain a lot of the time it is an air bubble from drinking to fast, a good burp helps. Good Luck Ash
  14. Hello all you Wonderful Bander's, I have had mine for 3 years on April Fool's Day 2007!! I love it. I have had many fills and unfills right now I am empty, I got an IUD in about a year ago and my band has been way to tight since then, (I guess it's my hormones) so I'm empty right now and not loosing. I have forgotten how to eat properly and could use some help and advice. I also get slimeing alot! Does anyone else here have that problem too? Top Weight 272 lbs. 2/04 Size 22/24 (mostly 24) Pre-Surgery 252 lbs. 4/1/04 lowest 186 lbs. 3/06 Current 202 lbs. 3/07 Size 14/16 (leaning more to 16) Goal is about 165 lbs. Want to be a healthy size 10. As you can see since emptying my band I have not been well behaved and I have gained. It is hard to start over I'm frustrated. Help Please, Ash
  15. I get my pain in my left shoulder. Man it is awful!! I would go ahead and get the fill done on the 23rd but talk to the Doctor and let know what happened he will probably tell you the same stuff we are. After a fill you will (or should be) on liquids the rest of the day and soft foods the next day then back to normal. Oh and don't look at the needle. Ash
