  1. Hello everyone! Update for me, Started postop diet today. Surgery is 12pm Monday Feb. 4th. Is anyone in this forum looking for someone to chat with? Preferably text back and forth? Someone who like to talk, wants to text....poss a lot Inbox me if truly interested. Sincere people only please. Thanks
  2. Am also SoCal. Surgery, your, is this Wednesday. I wish you all the luck in the world!! Mine is a week from Monday. Do you plan on taking a communication device with you? Reason I ask is, I'm willing to be a support system if you need or want someone to chat with. I realize you/we may not be in mood to be chatting, but if you do feel the need I am willing. I know I will be wanting to chat / talk with someone...anyone during my hospital stay (surg day +2) cause I will get bored. Who better to chat with than someone mere days difference of our surgeries. If interested let me know and I can inbox you my cell number and info about myself so you can know me a tad bit better.
  3. Single Californian here. Antelope Valley to be exact.
  4. Ditto! I also get to watch the Super Bowl on clear liquids. Should be interesting!
  5. Hi, It seems to be intensifying as it draws closer. I'm at the point just do it already so I can stop debating it in my head.
  6. Wow, lotta February's. It's nice to see so many participating. Good Luck to everyone!! Update for me; Someone above stated exactly how I feel, excited, but nervous and wanna do this. I watched the surgery on youtube, that was a bad idea. lol. The tube is mentally bugging me for some reason. Auto immune disease here too. Vertigo.
  7. My Preop was Jan. 10th, and yes they give you a detailed diet. Plus, examples of what to eat. Myself, I'm on a 1,400 cal diet until two days out then liquid only. I am so ready, only been overweight for about 10 years.......I want my life back!!!
  8. Awesome.....3 Feb. 4th's and a Preop on 4th as well. Our lives are going to change forever!! I welcome the change and challenge.
  9. My soon to be X-wife is not supportive at all. Matter a fact her exact words were, "Your being selfish and only thinking of yourself".
  10. I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me, "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing. I would like to here what others are thinking, going through. My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar? Thanks, Kimo
  11. Good luck Kim!! We're all hoping you get great news. Kimo For me it's the 10th, which seems like forever away. lol.

  15. Hello, Just wondering what people think about this magazine? Is it worth the price $24.95?? Thanks!! KM
  16. @Angelarda, Hi! As I scanned over your profile I noticed a few things, one being, only a single day hospital stay. We, bariatric class, were told we'd be in hospital a minimum of three days. What was your first couple days like after getting back home? Wow, a hundred and ten LBS. AWESOME!! Bet you have guys tripping over another trying to get dates. Will stop here for now before my flirtyness scares you away. lol Have a great day/weekend & Happy New Year!!
  17. Hi Mizzzliza, Not sure about "all hospitals", but I was given multiple choices. South Bay, Ventura, L.A., Palmdale, Woodland Hills, Bakersfield and some down in Orange County. I chose Palmdale cause I live very close, plus Dr. Yadagars reputation is outstanding, along with his bedside manner. They, Kaiser bariatric nurse told me if I went to Bakersfield they could get me in this month, because they have 3 surgeons. Some of the choices I was given get you in faster. However, I'm in a rush, but then again I am not. Reason....This is a life altering event and It's important for me to make sure it's done correctly and with someone (DR) I feel confident about. Dr. Yadagar goes on annual vacation from mid Dec till second week in Jan. Which was fine by me. It also showed me that he's not in it just for the money. He isn't a workaholic, he is a person with a life outside of his job. That scored big points with me. Therefore, I had no problem waiting for my consult and then surgery. Off topic.........Is your name really "Liza" <---love the spelling. Very cool!!
