I just got banded on 1/31/13 by Dr. Kurian. LOVE HER! NYU from the office to all the people you deal with the day of were AWESOME....I just got nervous when I was getting on the operating room table and didn't recognize the people and they were super patient with me and waited a few minutes for Kurian to arrive and she literally held my hand while I was put to sleep. Fantastic. Had my first post-op yesterday and they actually fit me in a few hours early and everyone was so supportive and all looks great! I HIGHLY recommend NYU

I am being banded 1/31 at NYU. I'm nervous! Excited too of course. Wondering if I should stay with family in burbs after surgery so I can walk around yard to walk off gas.instead of being bumped into on the streets. Thoughts?

I did it! Was banded yesterday by Kurian at NYU. I was super nervous to be put out so she came in and held my hand while i passed out. Everyone was so nice. The liquid vicoden helps a little but im major achy of course but proud of myself...and all of you!!!!

I have to drink five nasty protien shakes and can have low sodium broth and two cups of veggies a day. Its haaard! Any creative veggie recipies out there????

Thanks kah! I've decided to rest in nj so I have a lil more space. Thanks Alex. I am incredibly excited and terrified at the same time! Ha. Feel like I need to schedule a "last supper" haha. How has your recovery and transition been?
