Thank you! I'm forcing everything down. I mean i don't get to a point of regurgitation, i stop and rest after each bite/sip but I just don't feel hungry. And the burps feel so funny lol. I feel them from my toes!
Hi everyone! I was banded on the 18th. My doc put me right on mushies but I'm just not hungry. Of course I'm eating every few hours - just a few bites- and drinking in between but I'm eating by the clock... Not my body telling me I'm hungry - because I'm not hungry. I've been having yogurt, oatmeal, protein shakes, water, sugar free jello and Popsicles. Today is the first day I've felt normal-ish. Still site pain but nothing major. I go see the doc on jan 2nd for follow up.
Hi! Congrats!! I'm 3 days post op and feel pretty good. I'm just a little sore in my left rib cage (the back ribs, not front) but very tired. Taking a shower and getting dressed takes a lot of energy. I'm also focusing on getting liquids down and resting.
Hi! I'm 3 days post op and feel pretty good for the most part. I don't know if that's because I didn't need a hernia repair or not. I'm definitely taking it slow. Drinking protein shakes, Gatorade and water. Keeping it down but I do get the gas pains every once in a while. I am so glad that I made the decision for a LB.
Congrats to you as well! When I signed consent it included hernia repair too but luckily I didn't need one. The decision for a band took a while for me. My PCP mentioned it to me a year ago. I'm do glad I made the decision to do it and I'm so glad it's over.
Oops hit enter too fast lol... I decided that I'm worthy of being healthy. I've been overweight since I was 16. It's time to take care of myself 20 years later... I'm a nursing student and I don't want to end up like so many patients that I see. Much of their problem (s) can be alleviated by losing weight.
Hi! I'm brand new here. I am one day post op (12/18/12) and I feel terrific. Have gas pain once in a while radiating mostly to my left shoulder but when I get up and walk around it subsides. I've been taking the pain meds but I'm hoping not to need them much longer. The left side is very tender but not unbearable. I feel like this was the best decision I've ever made for myself.
