  1. Hi all, my surgery was supposed to be today 4/28. On two occasions, my white blood cell count was high. I repeated the test and it's slowly coming down. Started at 13.4 and I'm at 11.8 now but they would like it under 10. They sent me to a hematologist and I was freaking out of course. Is this serious I asked? Cancer? Leukemia? Because I kept asking where an infection might be coming from and nobody knows!! He assured me it's nothing serious but I feel totally fine! I'm not sick at all but I do work in a daycare. So, I'm awaiting results on May 4th and will hopefully be cleared for my new surgery day 5/12. They tell me to stay away from germs haha I'm in a cesspool of germs but trying frequent hand washing and sanitizer and vitamins. It's a helpless feeling even though I know they have my best interest at heart. You prepare and focus on your surgery date the entire time and then this happens! Sorry, just had to vent. I am happy to see so many positive stories here and cannot wait to be one of them!
  2. Hello...new to the this too. I'm on my pre-op diet having 2 shakes a day and I have bars as well. I lost almost 9 lbs. already. I have never lost this much in a week ever! So, it makes it exciting and my band date is April 28th. I have never had any type of surgery before so I am kind of nervous too.
  3. That's what they were saying would happen. I just wanted to see if it actually worked for anyone. Thanks for the reply.
  4. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone went out of network and still got approved? I finally found a Dr. That I like a lot. I have Horizon blue cross. She takes my ins. But not the type I have. The ins. Specialist told me it is still possible they could approve it. I have hypertension and high cholesterol. I guess I have to fight for it and tell them this is the only dr. I am comfortable with. Was just wondering if anyone had this experience. Thanks everyone!
  5. I went yesterday for my first appointment. No gown here either. Got weighed as measured. They calculated my BMI and took my blood pressure. Then, I just talked to the dr. And insurance person
