  8. Hi peeps! I got the call today to confirm my approval! I am so excited!!!! My surgeons office had everything set up anyways so it was great! I really love how they have treated me this whole process. I am going in on Friday to sign the consents, get my pre and post op instructions and prescriptions and I start my 2 week protein shake diet on Monday. I can't believe this is really happening and that it is so close! Seems like I have dreamed about being the me I always wanted to be and now, knowing its about to happen....its amazing! To hell with the people who say you shouldnt need surgery! I am a real person with real problems who is so grateful I am being blessed with the chance to change my life ??????Œ???
  9. 3 little letters... F...A...T... FAT... Something I have carried with me my whole life, something I have been called my whole life, something I have felt my whole life... Something I am ready to let go of. I have always struggled with my weight. I was never the kid that felt confident at gatherings or at school. I was teased...badly. There have been so many times that I have cried because of my weight, whether it be due to someones cruel comments, or because it has inhibited my life. Even as an adult, I have been struggling. It is time to let go and be the person I always wanted to be... I can't wait to be the girl who stops to look in the mirror twice because I don't believe the reflection is me. To be just "one of the girls" in a photo, instead of the "fat friend". To deal with my "inner fat child" demons and live a healthy life. I am going to start my pre-op diet on the 14th. Once that day comes, there is no turning back... I pray this momentum and desire carries me through this journey... Cheers to a new me!
  10. I agree...I haven't told many people...I don't want to hear everyone's bs....proof is in the pudding after when everyone will be saying how great we look! Keep your head up....we are all here for you to talk to about it!
  11. I am scheduled for Jan 29th! Very very excited! I feel like its all I think about right now I will sign my consents and see the doc on the 11th for the pre and post op instructions and then its preop testing and final medical clearence. I have to say....we should all be proud of ourselves. Admitting we have a problem is the first step....now we are going to go out and grab the lives we always wanted by the horns. Its not easy but I know it is going to be worth it. We have so much to live for.... Cheers to all us January bandsters!
  12. Glad to hear you are doing well! Hang in there.... Remember,.... No one ever said it would be easy, Only that its worth it Xoxo
  13. Omg! Please dont break and eat something! You have been doing so well and you are almost there. Try not to cry too much over someone who could do something so mean to you at such an important time in your life girl. You can get through this! And when he comes crawling back, like they always fo, you and your new body wont give him the time of day! Sending you huggss.....remember the one who is worth your time will never make you cry
  14. Thank you! I cant wait to begin the process. Just thinking abour my new life motivates me. I have two beautiful children I need to be here for. I losty parents at a young age and dont want to repeat history.
