  1. Could it be acid reflux? I having some of that now for the first time and I'm 2 years out.
  2. I have had problems with burping and hiccuping, too. I think I was eating too fast, I have since slowed down and it has gotten better. Hope this helps a little.
  3. Great success stories! I'm pretty much satisfied with my weight right now. I'm a large on top and a 10/12 on bottom. My tummy sags a little, but I can live with it. I'm 54 years old. I can eat almost anything I want, just carefully. Keeps me from overeating (thats a great thing about the band, thats what I was hoping for by having the surgery) I feel so such better physically, its amazing!
  4. Sounds like you're doing great! Congratulations! I'm also 2 years out(surgery Dec 2010) I'm about 18 lbs away from my goal, it's gets really hard now, but I'm not gaining, thankful for that.
  5. My surgeon told me the same thing, about it irritating my stomache. So sure enough I went a whole year without caffeine and tried it again (just a cup in the morning for two days) my stomache started hurting when I would get empty. Went a few months back on decaf and tried just one cup of regular coffee and the pain came back quick. So I guess there is something to it.
  6. Hi everyone! I'm new here, still learning the ropes. I am 2 years post-op. best decision I ever made. My surgeon is dr. Vollinger in Charlotte, NC, he is great. I have had an easy journey so far, just lately getting food stuck. Not a pleasant experience, gonna try to prevent this at all times. My band is 10cc with a 4.4 fill. It works fine this way, if I go any higher I get reflux at night. Haven't had an adjustment in awhile. Only thing, this week I haven't been able to get food down since Tuesday after I ate some BBQ potato chips and a few cashew nuts! For dinner that night, tried 1 bite of fish and spent an hour in the bathroom PBing and in pain. Is this normal? I can get down water very slowly. Takes about a hour to drink a protein shake.
  7. I like the Chike protein shakes. Vanilla is best one in my opinion. Good luck with your journey.
