Good luck and us newbies really appreciate the advice and wisdom of the veterans like yourself on here. I hope that someday ( when I am a veteran) I will be able to give back to the newbies!!!! I am glad to hear that it all went well, even though it took longer than expected!! I am so excited, I can't wait to be on the other side! 8 days left but somehow I already feel better like I am finally on the right track!!!!

Sherry, I have Dr. Schneider. I didn't have any problems with my gall bladder either, he just said it had to go....so since I was in "whatever it takes, just band me mode" I agreed. It really wasn't that bad, I am a little sore. I will be banded on the 21st and I cannot wait. I am a little less nervous now that I have had my pre-game surgery. Peace, Maureen

I tried but when I put it in as my signature in the edit page and then I save it just comes up as invalid file. I have tried the url and the copy and paste method......Thanks for your help. I will keep trying. I have ticker envy!!!!:cry

Paulette, I am so sorry to hear of your postponement, but all things happen for a reason. I am sure you do not want to hear this now but better safe than sorry. I know it is a hassle to reschedule but it will be worth it in the end. Hugs, Maureen

Thanks....I just wish they would do them together. I have never had a problem with my gall bladder. The doc wants it out so.....I go in tomorrow. I feel like I am having a trial surgery......just to get me in the mood:eek:. The chart is so helpful....its great to see others going through this at the same time. I do not think you should. They told me only Tylenol if necessary. You cannot be sure what is in those diet pills.....they may not be good to take before surgery. I am having a hard time with the liquids too. I am supposed to have two meals of liquids and one small meal starting on Monday. I tried to start early but have not been able to replace the second meal with just liquid. It is hard but think of all the things that are hard now that will become easier! Good Luck! Maureen

The only surgery's that I have had were c-sections and I couldn't have lived without the medicine pump. I guess I thought the pain would be similar. I am glad to hear that I will not need heavy drugs! Thanks for the info.

Thanks for all the replies.....my doc wants in patient, insurance wants out patient! I was just wondering what was the norm. I would rather stay overnight with the nice pain killer button at my fingertips!!!! Thanks for the tip on the ride home. I will tell DH to avoid the bumps! Next stop the ticker factory!

My insurance co will not pay for overnight stay. They claim it is out patient surgery. Just wondering if most of you stay overnight or do come home the same day? Thanks......I will be banded on 5-21!!!!
