  1. Oh yeah!! Good reminder!!! I was going back & forth on whether to go after the holidays because I didn't want to be obvious with family and stuff, BUT YOU JUST SEALED THE DEAL FOR ME!!! If possible I want to go 1st week of Dec. Wait, they waived the fee b/c you were on Phen?? You didn't have to prove co morbs either? When was your consult? Sorry for all the questions!! Lol
  2. WOW! You are an inspiration, thank you for sharing!
  3. Wow, this is all very encouraging... I also have Anthem BCBS. I have a bmi of 36, reflux, high BP, tachycardia (not sure if that will help with the approval or not) I have been on WW, phentermine and have even had lipo all in attempts to get to where I want to be... I am scared to DEATH about my consult and approval!!
  4. Oh that is so good to know!! I will meet her this week. I'm hoping all goes well!!!
  5. So I have not gone to my 1st consult yet, but I know that I'm just barely above the 35 BMI... I am Hypothyroid and on Meds for that, I also have High BP but I'm not on an Rx for that... Does it still count as a co-morb? Thanks in advance!!
  6. It's great to find such a wealth of knowledge from so many people. @ Rojasanoll - I noticed that you went to Dr Thoman, have you ever heard of Dr Bounua?
  7. Awe!! That is SO encouraging!! I've been researching for a little over a year now, so hopefully I will be armed with a little knowledge and realistic expectations! CONGRATS ON THE 60!!!!
  8. Hi everyone I'm Katy. Well this is my first post in an exciting new journey... I am going to my seminar (Dr requirement) next week and from there, hopefully it all goes great... I am very anxious about my insurance as my BMI is only a touch over 35 (but I've been on phentermine... dang it! If I wouldn't have gotten on it again I'd be 37 or so, but Dr wanted to try it again, I swear she PUSHES that stuff) I stopped taking it about a week ago so hopefully (the first time IN MY LIFE that I've said this) I'll gain a few back :/ Any advice would be great... I'm going to look over all these boards and research away. About to write my Bio... Eek
