  1. My darling, I understand EXACTLY what you are going through. I have no restriction either (fill appt 8/3/07) and am RAVENOUS after all the deprivation to get to this point. I was panicing, so I just spoke w/ a counselor in my dr's ofc who has a band and she told me that this time b/f the 1st fill is abt healing and practicing the new behaviors (not drinking w/ meals, small bites, chewing, etc), NOT losing weight. SOOOOOOOOOO, once we have restriction and SIMPLY CAN'T engage in our old eating behaviors the weight will start coming off. That said, pls try to find a more healthful alternative to the ice cream. A popcicle has far less calories and is a serving on a stick so you don't overdo it. My sister swears that that the Lite N' Fit yogurts when put in the freezer are delicious, so if it's the texture that you are hankering for, that is one thing to try. Let's use this time to find lower calorie alternatives to our faves. If you send me a msg, I will forward to you a recipe for a Protein shake that I made up during one of my desperate pre-op liquid days. Hope that this helps, Cheryl
