  1. Hmmm... Well... let the greiving process begin... goodbye fair bread of all types! Sandwiches be gone with you... *sigh* Parting will be difficult but a svelt bod clad in shorts and a sporty tee shall replace.... Look at the positive side Darcy... at least you never bought one of those fancy bread makers! Thanks C and Sue... Darcy
  2. .... Somewhere over the Bandbow... skies are blue... and a band that she dreams of where she must chew... chew...chew... Pretty bad but wishing you the best as you start your journey! Darcy
  3. Hey DeLarla, Frustrating isn't it? The nurse I used to sit next to would lay Cookies and muffins and candy on my desk as soon as she would hear I was on a diet... man how I don't miss her. My hubby tends to do things like that too... I think they want to be the provider of our happiness... and maybe there is a small part of them that is insecure at the thought of us losing weight? Heck... even my sister would give me the remainder of her entire plate after she had the RNY. I stopped going out to lunch with her. The best of luck today to you! Oh... if the chocolate isn't gone already could you put a couple on my old partner's desk? Darcy
  4. Thanks Carolyn and Angel... Angel I sure hope my experience goes just as yours did... I'm so glad to have the ball rolling and hoping that the person that handles sending the papers into the insurance company gets them off lickety split! Did they let you know when the papers were sent???? Darcy
  5. Hi Chantal... Hey... does the band come with a plunger??? I tell ya... the one things that is worrying me is the bread difficulties that most people seem to have... is there a type of bread that is less likely to cause the sink to overflow???? Does it ever go down once it plugs the opening... or does a person have to just hark it up? Man can not live on bread alone... but I think this girl could! Darcy
  6. Good Luck tomorrow DeLarla... we'll all be right there with you... of course... I am scared sh**less to fly so I'll be the pale one with grips of steel on the armrests and a pile o stinky poo in my pants. :eek Oh... I hope this helps... I thought your avatar was a skillet with to eggs over easy and a pancake with two slices of bacon on top... damned if I can see a pink pig???? Have a wonderful trip and we promise to be dull and dry when you return as not to uproot your liver.
  7. WTG Alex!!!!! Soon you'll be able to kiss the "Women's Sizes" goodbye forever!!!!!! WHile I appreciate that there are clothes in my size... I know I won't have a single problem kicking the plus sized stores to the curb! Maybe we will be able to pose in the catalogs for plus clothing as many of them use skinny women to sport big girl stuff. I bet you look MAHVELOUS DAHLINK! Darcy
  8. Now Delarla... If we looked at the clouds all day we could all possibly see a million disturbing images... such as this morning I could swear that I see a HUGE peice of layer cake on a plate next to the skinniest girl I have ever seen in my life... she's not even eating it for heaven's sake! While I do see that a person could find a pig in the logo... I choose to see a round... Lapband like shape... tell me dahlink... do yu see dis as vell???? P.S. I have always loved those that tilt towards insanity... I vonder vye????? Darcy
  9. Okay... have been following this thread and somewhere along the line I became an old mother hen... SARAH... where are you and how are you????????????????????????????????? DWW (Darcy Worry Wart)
  10. Hi Baileym, In the first seminar I attended with Dr. CHua... he said the band would last longer than the patient.... since I'm planning on living for forever... I'm going to ask him to be more specific when I meet with him for my consult this Friday. Darcy

  13. Hiya Chantal! Well.... I was all alone when I got the call:confused: I did hop right on the phone to call my hubby and was practically jumping up and down as I told him!!! Then called my big sister and did the same with her... WOO HOO!!!! I've been really trying to be more patient but it has really been a stretch for me and COMPLETELY not my personality:rolleyes: I could just run out into the street and find a complete stranger to hug... but I think it would be in my own best interest to wait for my daughter to get home. My appointment is a 1:30 on Friday and it is an hour and a half drive one way so I'll let ya'll know when I get home. I'm trying to remind myself that it may take the office awhile to get the information to my insurance company but at least things are finally headed in that direction! I'm so glad I could come here and share my excitement! TTFN Miss C Darcy
  14. Happy Day!!!!!! Dr. Chua's off called today and they must have had a cancellation because they offered me a consult appointment for this Friday!!!! I took it of course!!! Now I feel like I can let myself get excited especially since I've been told that Humana has a history of quick approvals! 18. Hi Neicy, Welcome to the site! I'm having my surgery done here in the states but sometimes I wish I could just hope on a plane instead of dealing with all of the waiting and red tape that goes along with having the procedure done here. Good luck with everything and I hope you find all of the information and support you need here! Darcy

  22. Thanks Debra... Maybe giving the dumb things up will become more of a habit than the habit??? If I could just go back in time... I certainly never would have started smoking. I'm just going to try and keep myself so busy that there won't be time to miss the sticks! I bet my house is going to be A LOT cleaner...lol. THanks for the encouraging words... keep your fingers crossed for me. Darcy
  23. Well... as some of you know... I quit... made it 14 days and then started again. My hubby left on a fishing trip and daughter went to her Dad's for Easter vacation and I was ALLLLLLLLLL alone with my car, my keys, my purse and a straight shot to the mini mart. Soooo... I did... and I puffed... and I couldn't wait for my Hubby to get home so I could quit again. I felt HORRIBLE... I smelled horrible and not to mention the fact that I failed once again! So... here I go again... Kicking the Sticks part two... this time seems easier than the last... already sleeping better and so far sticking with the crazy diet the dietician wants me to follow... down eight pounds so far... hope that pleases them enough to let me see the surgeon for my consult. Darcy
