  1. I for one hope you are running the report right now Alex... I think it is perfectly wonderful that you can do that. None of us should have to wonder if other members are real or sincere... most of us are here for two reasons... give and get support. Thank You Alex...
  2. Hi Alex, The atmosphere at LBT is not one of comfort right now. I find that the joy of posting and supporting others is being tainted by the continuance of members presenting themselves as other people that are looking for support. When I read a post from a new member... I feel that I can't even trust that it is someone really in need. I think that Marie is a wonderful moderator... she has been so supportive to so many members and her actions with so many speak louder than words... but there continues to be a linch mob that involves another of your moderators, and as long as that continues, I will respectfully avoid this forum. My heart breaks as this forum was literally my extended family... Like Becky... My stomach has been turned in knots worrying about this site and what has been happening. In my book the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few... and MANY want this to end and have the forum that they love and need back! Sincerely So Sad...
  3. LOL... Blossom... I love the title! I usually don't have a problem if I cook meats in the crock pot. My favorite food lube would have to be gravy.
  4. Marie... Becky said it perfectly! You have been a caring and supportive member and moderator and you have taken the time and effort to welcome and help so many... thank you! As far as I am concerned the only people that need to be ashamed are those with a gang mentality. I've never been into witch hunts... but I know if I were looking for one I would not head in your direction. You're a strong and caring lady... (((hugs)))
  5. The problem is... when you post to a thread... that post is viewable until it is edited by the person that posted it. It is also emailed to all that subscribe to that thread in it's original form. If a person views that post in it's original format... it seems that it would be fair to quote the content???? THis would be the danger of posting prior to really considering the content of one's post.
  6. Good Luck tomorrow and wishing you a speedy recovery... you are gonna love your band!!!!
  7. We have the snow left from when the snow hit us... now it is just FREEZING!!! On the bright side... the sun is shining brightly so it looks warm.
  8. Woo Hoo Jamie!!!!!! You go get your band girl!!!!!
  9. Sounds like an excellent plan... it will be comforting to see the moderators supporting each other and working together. I sure hope the board can get back to "normal" even if there are divisions in opinion.
  10. Roxanna... Congratulations! I'm sure you are going to love your band... it's a wonderful tool! Wishing you a safe trip there and home!
  11. Nykee... mine bothered me so much that my surgeon prescribed Flexeril. I took that at night so that the muscle wouldn't spaz and wake me up all night long. It will go away... hang in there!
  12. Rica... you look awesome and very happy!
  13. My husband didn't know my weight in the beginning... but I decided to share the dirty details when I started the lapband journey... we were newlyweds and it was very hard for me to share that I outweighed him... by A LOT. I finally weigh less... and he can put his arms around me comfortably... pure joy... I tell ya!
  14. OMIGOSH... your panties must look alot like mine! Not a pretty sight. lol... Whew... I needed a chuckle... I feel the stress melting away... ahhhhhhh
  15. WTG Kim!!!! Gawd... Pizza is good... thank goodness my band isn't fond of it!
  16. Yeah Jack... put your big girl panties on and join in!
  17. Awesome Katie!!! Zoe...LOLOLOLOL...
  18. Joanie... My port site bothered me for months... my surgeon told me it is stiched to the muscle which is bound to cause discomfort especially when that muscle is used. It used to burn like the dickens and spasm everytime I would sit up. It actually still bothers me on occaision but it's just a mild irritation. My port is very palpable... I can feel it very easily especially now that I have lost weight. You should be able to feel your port.
  19. Congrats Michelle! Miss Zoe... I am staying away from the scale right now because I am still P.O'd and am having visions of a Tanita in flight. I am happy with my overall loss... just pouting... and PMSing. THis too shall pass and for the overall health of my Tanita... it better be soon!
  20. You crack me up Zoe... I can tell that it would be a quick trip traveling with you to bandstock... I'd be laughing the whole way. (I have a heaty laugh... something a potential car partner should be aware of  ) I haven't planned the route to bandstock... my only worry is driving through a big city... YIKES. I'm a small town country girl... stick me on a winding road and I'm a speed demon... through me in the city and it's anxiety attack time. I'm willing for my van to be the trip maker... but a brave soul would have to do the city drivin for me.
  21. My weight today 199... *grumble*.... so... stayed the same as last week but still not gonna change my signature. I don't care if y'all just give me a big pat on the back if I'm the winner.
  22. Yup Corgi... I didn't have to do a pre-op diet... so I stuffed myself right up to the day before surgery... I guess I was worried I'd not be able to eat ever again...lol. Truth of the matter is... I still eat most of the foods I ate before... and I can even stuff myself... it just happens on a few bites of food instead of a few plates of food. Good luck with your journey to bandland!
  23. ZOE... WOW!!!! Holy cow... I just noticed... my goal weight is almost the same as yours and you are 5'9 and I am 5'6... lol... I guess you really do want to see all of your bones! You look awesome girl! Hey... are we starting a caravan for Bandstock yet????
  24. Hey Debby... I think you have made a great decision... and as you can see... more and more people are opting for the Lap Band. This is a great forum for support... welcome and good luck with your journey!
  25. Hiya Kristi! Welcome and congrats on being banded and for the awesome weight-loss you have had so far! THis is a great forum with oodles of helpful and freindly members.
