I have always been a litlte "chunky" and I always just felt heavy and bloated, but I was around 200lbs or so, In 2010 my mother passed away and an hour before she died, I suffored a stroke. I spent 5 days in the ICU and planning her final arrangements from my hospital bed....a very sad time for me. Apparently I had a lesion on my brain that was bleeding and caused the stroke but we never found what caused the lesion in the first place. Needless to say I was out of work for a year with therapy and trying to get my brain back where it shuld be after a stroke. Also dealing with the grief of my mother I gained alot of weight and wasnt physically able to exercise and get it back off. So my doctor suggested the lapband surgery and I went with it. I got banded Dec 2011 and my insurance covered it. I moved out of state in Jan and my insurance would not cover my fills, so I had to pay out of pocket and I really did not have it. I got a couple of fills and last week got a 3rd. I feel more restricted now and think after 9 months I should start loosing wieght.
