I'm hoping for June, I have bcbs and don't have to do any of those thankfully.I just have to visit the psych, nutritionist an see my.surgeon again and I'll be on my way.

Question... how bad is your extra skin? I'm 22, will I have it bad or less likely to have it as bad since I am young??

Oh no. I can't lose my butt.. I'm scared I'll be more self conscience then than I am now.

I have so much to say and so many questions to ask. First off, I did find out that BCBS (Virginia) DOES cover this surgery! Woohoo. I called University of Virginia and now have my first appointment next week! That appointment is all day appointment that consists of tests, seminar, etc. Just that appointment is over $2,000! I'm soo excited but have one concern. Which is ... (your gonna laugh because it's not that serious) ...a Arterial Blood Gas. I am the by far the biggest baby. I'm so scared it's going to hurt. So opinions...is it THAT bad? It could be a few months (my insurance doesn't make you do the 6mo diet). Here are some questions: Does the fills hurt? How long were you out of work? (I'm a correctional nurse, i'm not on my feet TOO much and when i'm there..there is always another nurse, could I be out just for a week?) How often do you choke or vomit? (I hate vomitting!)

I'm christina, 21 years old and a correctional nurse here in good ole virginia. Ive been overweight ever since I can remember. Both my brother and mom had gastric bypass in which wasn't that much of a success! I've known about the lapband but just got insurance recently, so I'm proceeding to make an appointment with the surgeon. I'm not insecure about my body but want to be healthy for when I have kids! I can't be a nurse and tell someone else they.need.to loose weight when I'm overweight myself. Right now I'm at 270, big.but beautiful!
