Ive been doing hair for 20 years...I just got banded on the 6th and anasteshia is the worst mine is breaking...there is an amazing shampoo called Nioxin it helps with breakage and falling out its 3 steps shampoo conditioner an a scalp treatment..it will slow it down..keratin treatments are also a good idea along with 4-6 week trims...add Knox gelatin to warm tea helps strengthen nails and hair

  5. They said they would cover the TT..cause the lose skin could cause a rash or cause a change in posture..I know I'm a long long a way from one but was excited to hear they would cover it

  8. My stomach looks like Frankenstein!!!...I did find out that since i had a C-section with my last baby that my insurance will pick up a TT...hopefully that will rake care of the large scar
  9. I had hiatal hernia repair also...I thought for sure they were going to go thru my belly bottom also like when I had my gallbladder taken out but they didn't..one of my staple lines is 4 inches long that's the port
  10. 5 of my family members have either had the band or by-pass..all of them were either glued or stitched up..im 4 days post op and have 5 staples in one incision and 1 in the other 4...i get them out Thursday..but i wondering how many of u out there were stapled..glued or stitched..I wonder if this was just my Dr's preference no one in my family used the same Dr

My 6 month diet that was mandatory by Aenta just consisted of me going to my surgeons office once a month to weigh in...the coordinator put everything together for me I just had to get the 3 standard clearances and have my medical records that showed my weight over the last 2 years on it..never had to deal with my PCP...and I was approved in less then a week once it was all submitted
  12. You will be fine..My 17 year old daughter and I had a fight the night before my surgery and I ate a huge huge portion of spaghetti...my liver was in good shape the surgeon said..just stay on track untill Tuesday..Wish u the best of luck!!!
  13. Love TJ's...we drive an hour each way and go every two weeks...my oldest daughter has Chrones and she can handle pretty much everything they have there..and it's prob the cheapest health food type store their is..love whole foods but not their prices
  14. I'm 2 days post-op..and I had the same thoughts the closer I got..I even cheated on my pre-op diet self sabotage... yesterday if u had asked me if it was worth it I would of said no...today I'm feeling much better and I dropped 5lbs..just hang in there it will be worth it in the end
  15. I think ur right I have the same feeling in the center of my chest also..and have had the hiccups off and on all day ugh
  16. I had to break my pills in half it hurts once I get them down...I keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end!!!...staring to not believe it ugh

  18. Just sent my oldest daughter out for a heating pad..I had to snap my pain killers in half cause the pain was so bad trying to get them down...I also had a hiatel hernia repair at the same time...this is worse then when inhad my gallbladder removed ugh
  19. I came home this afternoon...surgery yesterday...I'm in extreme pain in my shoulders neck...middle of my back..taking the pain killers with sips of water is making it worse...I'm so scared to drink any more liquid...any and all suggestions would be great
  20. I feel the same way..my surgery is tomorrow 9/6..and I'm so worried that I'm gonna have a huge liver...or that I have nicotine from the patch or gum in my urine ugh!!!..I'm abt to lose it
