  1. Im going to say the same to you ad I told another person. Not everyone is going to support you. That's just all there is to it and I think a lot of it has.to do with they don't understand. A lot of times people think are fat by choice.. and yes maybe it started that way but it almost becomes and illness and an obsession To the normal person they dont get it. Its not like we are crackheads searching for crack.... our food is our drug and its something that we will die without. Its a necessity of life. So with all that maybe you need to explain to her that this is something you need and want and that reguardless your going to do it with or without her support.
  2. If you look on wiki... lapband has a mortality rate of 1 in 2000.. if that
  3. .... and not do the sleave or the bypass?
  4. when i first told my significant other about getting surgery.. the first argument i got into with him he said that I was not woman enough to loose the weight one my own. I have come to the realization that "normal" people just dont get it. They dont understand the daily battles we go through. We need food to survive so its not like a crack head trying to find crack... its in our face everyday all day everywhere. I am doin this for me NOBODY else i dont i dont need ANYONES permission to take charg of my body. Think of it like that...
  5. You gotta start somewhere. I'm still in the.process... 3.5 months In and time.is flying actually.
  6. My dietician told me.great snacks are.... fat free or low fat cottage cheese... peanut butter on apple or celery (in moderation) low fat string cheese... wheat thins or those kellogs crisps. A cup of healthy cereal. Also I dunno if you like V-8 juice but if your hungry and.craving salt that works really good and it coats your stomach. If I'm craving sweets I eat sugar free popcicles. Hmmm I was just thinking also maybe ill free some sugar free jello mmmmm.
  7. I've distanced myself from doing things also because I don't want to be embarrassed if I can't fit into a seat... or if I look around and I'm the fattest in the room. Not to mwntion i have no cute clothes anymore. Hell.. I've already made it clear when I get my grove back... ITS ON!
  8. Yeah I have all my skinny clothes hanging in the closet yet my current fat people clothes are wadded up in drawers. Oh yes... I also have some hooker heels that I can't wait to bust back out!!
  9. I don't get embarrassed of those pics... I only do now. I dont take full body pics bc I'm ebarassed now. Im hoping that will allllllll change soon
  10. Ohhhhhh snap! Watch out now!!!
  11. I know I'm finally taking the steps. I wish it would have never gotten this far because I use to be the shiiiiit!! Hans and I can't say that now beclause back then I had no clue. And yeah I'm still "pretty" for a fat girl but doesn't matter if you don't see it
  12. I'm having a moment where I'm asking myself how did I ever let myself go like this. Why would I? I don't have any psychological reason of why I'm fat. I just love food. Its so yummy. If doritos tasted like lettuce... I wouldn't eat them. Do u ever feel like that
  13. since i made this post i think i should get some sourta reimbursement! haha... when I had lost 75 lbs in 7 months i wasnt saggy at all.. but i did walk and that was about 8 years ago also. So im hopeing to loose around 150 lbs total to be at goal and im just hopeing im not saggin to my knees,
  14. I am still in pre-op mode but I wanted to know how many people have problems with saggy skin? If you loose a significant amount of weight will you have the saggy skin? I keep hearing this .... "what are you goin to do after you loose weight?... get cosmetic surgery?" Any insight?
  15. Honestly google lap-band and there is ALOT of useful information on WIKI about it. I would be nervouse but for a good cause bc you are goin to change your life. Im nervouse and I still have about 3 months left before i go to surg. Its a lifestyle change and you HAVE to be commited to it. Im still have problems eating right and Im not depending on a miracle surgery to make me change. Dont be scared that yollu die.. as long as you trust your doctor youll be ok. Wiki said the death toll was 1 in 2000 but then if you read the very bottom of the pages theres something about a website reffering paients to doctors that ended in death. So that right there may have made the national average go up.
  16. What and how much are you eating post opt? Daily menus anyone?
  17. I was just wondering what type of insurance did everyone use... if any... and what type of hoopla did you have to go through to have the surgery covered?
  18. I don't even have a more option. Oh well ill figure it out one day.
  19. I know I'm struggling Its never been this hard to loose 10 lbs in my life. I'm 3 month in and I have only lost maybe 7 lbs bc the first month i gained bc I gave up pop cold turkey. I would drink about 2 2liters a day. But its finally time to get really seriouse. BTW How did you guys put your picture in your profile?
  20. Grease fat and candy are mine.. but we had to break up.
  21. Yeah I'm sticking with the protien also. I stay away from anything white.. except for the occasional potato that'll ill cook in the oven sliced like French fries. I'm really excited and can't wait to see myself a year from now. I think after surgery I won't be as hungry all the time so I'm hopeing that'll really help.
  22. Hey I'm new here. I'm in month 3 of a 9 month medical diet. Due to insurance I have to go through this. I'm having a hard time because I almost feel like this is my farewell to food so I want to eat bad all the time. so I'm glad I found this place so I can read stories to help keep me in check!!!!
  23. You have to fool your body. A great way to do that actually is to change things up. Instead up your calories a bit... maybe 1600 for a couple of days then go back to the 1300 and change up your excersize routine also.
