Well mine was denied and an appeal was sent in late May. Still haven’t heard anything. I checked with my insurance company and they said they said my case will be in front of the appeals committee on Oct 9th. I’m so praying they approve it this time!!

Thank y’all! My insurance received all the paperwork on the 10th of this month and I still haven’t heard anything. Fingers crossed.

My husband works for UPS and we have TeamCare/BCBS Illinois insurance. Just wondering if anyone else has had to go through the approval process with them. How long did it take? Was it difficult, etc.

How much have you lost over the last 4 months?

I'm doing great down 17lbs in just under 3 weeks! No problems at all.

I am 2 weeks out yesterday and I have lost about 15lbs. still looking for others who have had banded plicaiton that will share how they are doing.

I know its been months since you started this thread gingy, but I just had banded plicaton on Sept 4th of this year. Like you I feel sort of alone because I cant find many who have had it. How are you doing now?

Carolina girl, are you saying I will feel more restriction after I heal from the plicaiton? Like I said I am not eating solid foods yet but I dont feel a lot of restriction from the liquids. even soup.

So glad to read this. I had banded plication last Tuesday and I felt no restriction when drinking from the very first day. I was thinking "did he really even do anything"? haha Of course I have not tried to eat solid food yet so we will see.

I had banded plication last Tuesday. Its not exactly the sleeve in that with the sleeve they remove a portion of your stomach and with banded plicaton they sort uf just fold your stomach up to the same size as it would be if you had the sleeve with our removing any portion of your stomach and then they add the band as an added weight loss mearure.
