  1. Hi everyone. My name is Kate. I am new to the forum. I was banded on 8/15/2012. I originally looked into lapband in October of last year weighing at 254 for my initial consultation. My insurance required a 6 month waiting period. At the time of my pre-op appointment I was at 237 and yesterday at my first post op appt I was 210. The surgery went fine and I was up doing housework the next morning and returned to work the Monday following the surgery. I look forward to insights and suggeations from forum members and I am excited to be on the path to a healthier life.
