  1. I got my band on Aug. 2nd and believe me it is a battle to keep smiling and trying..it is really hard work and if you were like me eating when you want and eating what you wanted this is a challenge BUT you have to be patient and remember small steps. I actually was not eating/drinking as much as I was supposed to and weight wasn't dropping cause I was starving my body. I am down just over 40lbs from day I went to doctor originally and get upset that it is not more BUT I have to remind myself that the band is a slower process and maybe if I exercised some I'd help the weight loss. Please be patient..follow directions and if you ever have a question or need a shoulder I will be there for you.......We took the first step which was the most important one and WE WILL SUCCEED!!!!!!
  2. I haven't had a problem with my port except where mine is my skin actually indents but my husband who had his done rwo weeks ago got a hard lump by his port and went to dr. other day. Dr. said it was fluid build-up and when he goes for his first fill if it is still there they will drain it. Thought that strange cause it's a hard big lump....thought fluid would be squishy but they said not to worry.
  3. Amazing......so so happy for you. I just joined this forum from another one that seemed to bash lapband surgery so I feel good to hear success like yours. Only had my surgery 8/2/2012 and am feeling down because not much weight down. First fill 9/11/12..hoping that the fills will make me feel less hungry. Can only keep trying and hope one day to be a success story too!!
