  1. Mrsreyes... I was wondering if I was the only one
  2. Thank you gmanbat!!!
  3. For the unjury protein... The instructions said use 1 scoop for 8 ounces of milk... I just thought that was an awful big scoop so I looked at the facts and it said 1 scoop was 27 grams which is only 1 ounce of powder which would only be half of a scoop...
  4. Ok thanks!!! That makes me feel better!! Because if that was to mess me up I would rather have something good!!
  5. So I am on my two week pre op diet...and I have not cheated once and I'm on day 8...I have to drink 3 protein drinks a day along with cream of chicken sugar free pudding etc.... So the directions for the protein shake says 1 scoop per 8 ounces... And I just realized a scoop is only a half of a scoop... I was wondering if anyone else has done that and what they think my surgery is April 30th and I have been through hell for a year with this and would be really sad if they wouldn't do surgery because of this.
  6. I think you can always appeal so if you get denied you can appeal so I don't think there is a limit
  7. That's awesome you are losing... My goal weight is 150 also
  8. I think they approved me because I made sure I let them know that my medications cost a lot so they would actually save by having the surgery... So if you have a co morbid condition try in use everything you can hopefully your doctor just forgot to include something... Something that can just be re sent in or whatever... I was scared because my supervised diets I had to do my doctor didn't document enough so my surgeon said they will pretty much deny you for that... I was so disappointed.... Just keep trying and if they deny appeal it again and again..
  9. Yeah my doctor did that and he kept canceling and rescheduling... It's really frustrating.... After I thought I was done with all my stuff the doctor kept saying you got to do this in that... Do you have a surgery date ??? I had one before I was even approved..
  10. Thank you guys!!! I'm nervous!!
  11. After a year of doing all requirements for insurance....getting denied... I finally got approved and my surgery date is April 30th!!
  12. I would defiantly call your insurance to find out if the doctor sent in ALL of your paperwork....my doctors office forgot to send in my psych evaluation and didn't even list my co morbidity... So that is the reason I got denied within two days... I called both everyday!!! Don't assume they sent in everything... I appealed it and finally was approved yesterday... Stay on it... Hope this helps
  13. Hey jillydj I also am having a problem with my doctor not documenting enough information. I have been going to him for nine months. My last appointment was jan. 31st. My surgeon told me a few months ago to tell him he wasn't writing enough, sometimes he wouldn't even document anything!! Also my letter from him I need that I gave him 9 months ago he still has not did. I was Suppose to have my surgery around first week of march can't do it now until April 30th. The surgeon office told me they will send in all my stuff I have been doing and see what happens.. In the meantime I still have to see him for a diet because if I'm denied they would make me start all over again Hopefully your insurance company will see that you went for six months...it's so frustrating... Good luck !!
