My Success So Far! (Pics Included)
Update on my current stats! I've lost 100.2 lbs and just entered my 7th month post op on the 10th. Feeling fantastic! I'm part of the glorious century club now! My goal has been adjusted to 150. Then possibly 130, depending on how I feel. ) I absolutely swear by low carb and lots of water! All of these things plus Protein have been my saving grace!

My Success So Far! (Pics Included)
I don't get to come on to VST very often, but I thought I'd stop by and share my success thus far. My name is Britnee. I'm 23 and have an almost 3 year old daughter. Her and school are my priorities. While making my daughter my main priority, I realized that something had to be done about my weight. I wanted to stick around for her. I've been her only constant since the day she was born, so I want her to have me around for many many years into the future. Anyways, I started the process in Aug '12. I had surgery on Oct. 10th, 2012. I have one of those special insurances that doesn't expect 6 months of weigh-ins. My HW was 316. My GW is 175 (then 130). My CW is 252. I have lost 63 lbs in the last three months. That is amazing! I work out daily. Doing a number of things that include: walking, Zumba, Wii Fit, and recently took up running. This is the best decison I've ever made! I have more energy to keep up with my daughter, I am happier, and last but certainly NOT least, I am HEALTHIER! I love life. <3 Here are some progression pictures.

Wheat Thins are delicous! Lol. I had to stop eating them. They definitely could become a staple!

Post Op Octosleevers 2012. Welcome To The Losers Bench!
Sleeved 10/10/12. Oh goodness, Thanksgiving was such a treat for me. Though, I did certainly eat too much and I need to learn how to slow down my pace. I went to Kentucky (live in MI) for a week and had no access to the internet. Because I faithfully track my food intake on MFP. I was unable to do that for a week and STILL lost 3 lbs. I was excited to say the least becaus I couldn't eat as healthy as I normally would while at home. They don't have much there (at the ONLY grocery store for miles) in ways of healthy or sugar/fat free foods. I did my best and was conscious of it the entire time. I got some decent exercise. Probably wasn't the smartest thing to go on a four wheeler at 6 weeks post op, but hey, I had fun! And am feeling fine. Back the grind of being healthy and moderating everything. My mom baked me a homemade Sweet Potato Pie. 1/8 is missing and it took 2 days to eat THAT much. lmao. The boyfriend doesn't much care for those things so now, I'm afraid it's going to go to waste. D: As of Saturday, I am down 37 pounds and starting to see/feel the difference. Thought I'd share a picture of comparison. Now, I just have to get my butt walking more. You'd think that having a 2 year old would be all the energy I need. Lol.

I Love This Forum And Chat Room
I absolutely love the chatroom. I've already made some new friends. And have gotten some MUCH needed help/information. Also met a very nice woman that sent me clothes, as I'm a single mom/college student on a limited budget. To which, I am SO very appreciative!

October Sleevers-How Ya Doin?
Hey all. I was sleeved on 10/10. Down about 30 lbs (won't know exact until my 1 month appt on Thursday, as my scale cannot be trusted) since which includes the 7 lbs I lost on the pre op diet. It feels SO good to be back under 300. Which I haven't seen since 2010, when I got pg with my daughter. The only thing I'm having an issue with is finding a good protein shake for myself. As I have a hard time drinking thicker liquids. I had a 7 day stall, but I chalk that up to the reintroduction of food. Also having a hard time keeping away from grains right now. :-/ Bought some low cal/sugar free mints to fight the head cravings, since I can't chew gum anymore! OY.

Stupid Candy!
I was bad too! But trying hard not to feel guilty! I had a mini milkyway yesterday and small packet of Mike N' Ikes. Today, I had a piece of dark chocolate. Yup, done with my candy. Lol. Tomorrow is another day and I can look at the candy and not feel completely compelled it eat it! And trust me, my 2 year old made BANK in the candy department. I'll grab a string cheese and be on my merry way!

Non Food Rewards
I haven't even thought about gifts to myself yet. But definitely 100 down, I'll get a new wardrobe that isn't full of band t-shirts, granny panties, and cheap jeans from Walmart. Totally excited. And I think once I hit goal, I'll need some booby adjustments. huzzah to the new me!

Feeling Down 5Days Post Op
Hang in there! I'm also 5 days post op. Friday I felt like crap and regretted EVERYTHING. But Saturday was much better and today l feel like a million bucks. I have a 2 year old that insists on having my attention 24/7. It's trying. But the days do get better! Think positive. I'm sure by next week, you'll feel amazing compared to today!

Scared After Pre Op Appointment
To be honest, I didn't put much thought into being terrified. I was very nervous the day of surgery. But only because it's a HUGE lifestyle change. My mom has had several surgeries by my surgeon so I was very confident in his abilities. I knew if I thought too much about it, I'd talk myself out of it. So I kept myself busy with my daughter and my school work as the days drew nearer. I had so much to get done in preparation, that I didn't hardly think of it as a big deal. I'm 5 days post op and I admit that it's VERY trying to stick with the full liquid diet. I've so far lost over 16 lbs since my pre op appt 2 weeks ago. It's totally worth the lack of food, seeing that scale drop. I'm hoping by next week I'll be back under 300! Good luck, darling... You'll do great!

Protein Shakes Help Please

Protein Shakes Help Please
I only intend on drinking these until I am able to drink the other protein drinks. It's a decent substitute until that time comes.

Protein Shakes Help Please
Tbearfan, That was SO helpful! The protein shots are right up my ally. I can't handle the Unjury Chicken Broth flavored drink, it's way too salty for me. I bought the New Whey shots, literally right after I read your post. Until I can drink the milk based protein drinks, these seem very tolerable! And much less stressful to drink 3.4 fl oz instead of 8! Thank you!

Post Op Octosleevers 2012. Welcome To The Losers Bench!
I was sleeved on the 10th. 4 days post op and definitely, the 2nd day was the worst thus far. I was up and walking around only 4 hours after my surgery. Took about 3 walks the first day. Stayed in my room the 2nd day, walked around in there for most of the day. Once I got home, it was slightly more difficult. I just have to remember to take small sips and beware of my pills. The zinc has made me sick every time I've taken it, so I'm holding off a couple more days. The upset stomach is slowly disapating. No pain other than the upset stomach. But so far, today has been relatively good. Having regular BMs and burping/passing gas like crazy. So far the only problem I'm having is getting all of my fluids in.

What Is Safe To Take For An Upset Stomach?
I had my surgery on the 10th.. Everything as far as pain has pretty much diminished and my incisions are looking great. I'm having a problem with taking slow enough sips of whatever and keeping it down. Jello seems to be fine, though. My major problem is the upset stomach. It's constant. I know it's normal but if I could get rid of the upset stomach, i'd be fine...
