Thanks for positive reply, I know your right and I am having it done but do keep freaking out a bit lol. To be banded in Belgium and 2 years aftercare would have cost £3700, here in the uk it is costing £4995 and 3 years aftercare. Think that's a pretty good price and it's with WLS who seem to have fab reviews and are so nice and helpful when I was enquiring about band. 20 day count down yikes ........

Hi yes the price included everything, however I have a son who has autism and leaving him for 3 nights is not an option at present, so I have decided to have surgery in uk with WLS. September 11th is the date and if I'm honest I'm a little bit nervous :-/ I was so excited and could hardly wait for the day to come but now I keep thinking of all the things that could go wrong..........I suppose it's normal to have these thoughts. Anyway will defo keep you updated. X

Hi I have made the decision to have a band. After doing loads and loads of research I have decided to go to Belgium to be banded by Dr Philip Vanden Borre and then have a 2 year aftercare package from WLS (dr Philip Vanden Borre is the surgeon WLS uses so very good reviews). I have a consultation on 16th August and I can't wait!! Would love any feedback on my decision or if anyone else has used same surgeon or WLS would love to hear from you :-)

Hi I'm absolutely having a band!!!!! Have done loads and loads of research and have decided on going to Belgium and being banded by Dr Philip Vanden Borre (he is the same surgeon that does the band surgery for wls) and after care with WLS. It costs £3100 for band and £500 for 2 years aftercare (unlimited fills). Anyone been banded by Dr Philip and had aftercare fromWLS ????? Love to hear any feedback. I am going for a consultation on 16th august and then hopefully it will be all systems go.........I'm really excited :-).
