  1. I'm "penciled in" for Oct. 9 with Drs Lopez/Osuna. So excited!
  2. Hi everyone, I've decided to get my sleeve in Mexico and not tell anyone that I'm doing it. My husband knows and is very supportive! Problem is, he can't take any vacation for 9 months and I don't want to wait that long for surgery. I am thinking of going alone. Has anyone done this? Any feedback? I've had 2 c-sections and have healed extremely quickly with both. I'm actually looking forward to the time in the hotel sleeping and resting on my own. Thoughts?
  3. I had originally been leaning toward the plication but then read how someone had a complication (plicated in Mexico) and how none of the local docs knew what to do with it. They converted to a sleeve to save her life. That's when I changed my mind to a sleeve.
  4. There are so many doctors who perform this surgery! How do you know you have a great one? Is there a way to find out what a specific doctor's complication rate is? I'm wondering if there is a way besides asking, just to confirm that the information they might give would be accurate.
  5. No replies? Does that mean most complications are from doctors in the states?
  6. I am considering surgery in Mexico but scared to death about possible complications after I get home. If you had your surgery in Mexico and had complications, can you please share your story? Also on who your doctor was and what they did upon hearing of your complication.
  7. Great! Where did you get sleeved? Who was your doc?
  8. I did it a year ago and lost well. You DO have to stick to the foods required and you MUST stay at 500 calories or you will gain. My understanding is that it's hard to get now. HHCG (homeopathic) is not real HCG and the real stuff is hard to find. It's a tough diet to stick to but works when you do. I lost 40 lbs on it, then gained 60 in 6 months when I got off it, even though I was being somewhat careful. I am however, considering using my Last vial right before WLS to give me a last minute edge.
  9. Where are you going? I'm hoping to get sleeved in Mexico in October.
