I have been heavy and yo-yo dieted my whole life. Finally reached my heaviest weight of 255.1 and felt awful both physically and mentally. Enough was enough! Thought about having lap band surgery for 3 years. Wish I had done it sooner. Finally feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Had my surgery 8/16/12. Lost 16.1 lbs on my 2 week pre-op liquid diet and 12.2 after surgery but before 1st fill. Got my first fill on 9/26/12 - 3cc in 14cc band. Don't feel much restriction at all, but they said I probably wouldn't until about the third fill. Next fill scheduled for 10/22/12. Happy so far and look forward to what the future holds for me. NOTHING tastes as good as being thin feels!
