Just curious, I was banded on Feb 27th and I also have numbness on the left side, exactly where my hematoma was it was the size of a larger grapefruit but now is like the size of a tennis ball, getting softer every day, I to feel it and think it is my port!! I sure hope not, it really makes me worried. How long does it take to go away the numbness and the swelling. I was bleeding the other day because my PA put a band aid the sticky part on the scab, how smart was that so non the less it was riped off when I took it off. O did I say that was after they went in with two needles to take out some blood that was trapped under my skin and causing pressure. If any one has had any of these issues please respond, I wonder if I ever should have gotten this done!!! and how will I know if it slips or eroads into me!! thanks for all your help!!!! :help:

Hey everyone, I'm from Cape Cod Mass just was banded on Feb. 27, 2007 ended up with a hematoma, and phnemioa, but I'm surviving just waiting the bump where the port is to go away, does anyone know how long it takes???? How does everyone feal about getting filled does it hurt?? I'm scared about that part!!! Please let me know!!!!!

so I guess it is normal for the swelling to be sticking up where the incision is? How long where you all on Meds for. I did come home the same day. I'm in good spirits its the swelling and pain, and presure that hurts, I just need to know has everyone felt that!!!!!!!!!! and does it hurt to get a fill??? thanks for all the information I appreciate it very much!!!!!!

I was banded on Feb. 27th 2007 at TNEMC and ended up with a hematoma the size of a grapefruit, but now is the size of a tangerine, I also got phneomia 5 days after surgery. I was also curious if anyones stomach was swollen and hurt to sneeze, (it's killing me LOL) my doc. said my body will take care of the hematoma and the antibiotics will take care of the phneomia, but I'm just worring that the swelling won't go away, where the port is. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. O and sometimes I feel choked up when I eat and have not got a fill yet.
