    smrn40 reacted to El_Cid in I'm Officially Post-Op
Its been about 12hrs since my surgery. I had hiccups for a few minutes but other than that, I haven't had any other issues. (besides the general pains of surgery). Been walking around the hospital floor and I haven't had any nausea. All they are giving me is ice. So far so good.

My surgeon says jello is okay since it turns to liquid when warmed

Went yesterday for my 2nd weigh in and in just about 7 weeks I've lost 17 more pounds. I now have lost 35 lbs total since May 10th. I also got my second fill. Yay!!! Hoping for another 17 before next weigh in!

smrn40 got a reaction from m1aman in 5 Days Post Op And Eatting Sf Jello.. That's Clear Right?
As a nurse, coffee is considered a clear liquid as long as it is decaf and no milk added. Each surgeon has an opinion and the ones that I work with allow us to drink it. Since I am not a coffee drinker, it didn't matter to me. To each his own.

Clears are anything that you can see thorough. Decaf teas, coffee (with no milk), jello, popcicles etc...

I got my band on the 26th and have also wondered if things were normal. First of all, I have to be on clear liquids only for 7 days and then full liquids for 7 days then soft foods for 7 days. Is this the same as all of you? Also, the gas has been bad and I feel like I have a constant "knot" between my breast in my esophagus all the time. When I drink something, it is as if it cramps and aches. Does everyone feel this way? It is very uncomfortable and almost feels like a spasm. Thanks...
