  2. Hey there.. I have one more visit with my surgeon before my surgery next month. I asked her tuesday if she does the swallow test, in which she said she doesnt...she explained that she uses the drain to watch for certain fluids the 2 days after the surgery, to let her know there is a leak..she hasnt ever had a leak, knock on wood....she had stated that she didnt like to make patients go thru that nasty tasting berium swallow since we would already be tortured enough with a month on liquids.....i was just wonderign what you guys thought..im happy shes leak free, but maybe that sense of knowing would be worth the bad taste/experience.....i also dont have to do an endoscope either...so just wondering if anyone else has these same things from there surgeon...thanks in advance

  4. Wow...awesome, im about the exact weight and bmi, 6 foot 2...and am scheduled for surgery in about 5 weeks...that weight loss is my dream in that time. Any tips or pointers other than the obvious to be able to achieve your success? tell us how your surgery day went if you get time, thanks and again..wow
  5. Hi there, I'm about a month away from 'the sleeve'...I have 4 year old triplets and am a soon to b divorcee ...so yea worried to death about what my kids would do without me. They need there daddy!!! Good luck on whatever u decide and hopefully see you on the losers bench soon...

  7. Sorry, nothing too exciting to read here, but anyone tried the protein shake called Oh Yeah! Yet? 32 grams of protein in one. Its not too bad. Lactose free as well.
  8. Good luck! I'm a month or so out on my journey, having it done at Mercy. Have done 2 rounds of the nut, p.t., and Psyche.....fun fun....good luck from a fellow St.Louis native.
