  1. Thank you guys so much for the support and encouragement. I need it! I started my liquids today and I'm off to a good start
  2. I am almost 1 year post op and sadly I have only lost about 25lbs. I know that the 25lbs lost is because of the diet and exercise efforts that I have put forth. I can't blame life issues or the band not working. Today I can accept responsibility for being where I am. But today I am feeling more motivated and more encouraged and determined than I have in a long time. The only way I can fail is if I chose not to do my part and failure is not an option for me. Yesterday I scrolled through and read some posts and looked at some pictures and it dawned in me. Its not too late to get back on track. I can do this too !!! I have tools. My doctor no longer accepts my insurance so I am on my own until January when I can change my plan. Any suggestions to help me make progress until I can see my doctor would be helpful.
  3. Thank you so much for the input. I will continue to sip my liquids and get some walking in. I just want to make sure i do everything right and I know being hydrated is very important
  4. I was banded as well yesterday and had a hital hernia repaired. I am experiencing some abdominal and shoulder pain as well. Hoping the pain subsides soon. Best wishes to you on your journey !
  5. I am a new member here. I received my lapband yesterday. The surgery went well and was pain free. I had a lot of discomfort last night mainly from my left shoulder. I tried using a heating pad and the meds the md gave and that brought some comfort. Later in the evening I got up to take meds and I noticed some bleeding from my incisions. This morning was a whole different story. I had no problem taking my multivitamin but I have barely had any liquids. Do you have to force your self to drink? I have only had a few sips of my protein drink and I am having such bad abdominal pain. it's painful to stand up. Any suggestions???
