  1. Do you take B12? It is one of the recommended supplements and I believe has to do with energy.
  2. My surgery was Nov 7th. Still no BM here either. But, I have only been able to get in about 16 oz of Gatorade a day. I figure, nothing going in to need to Poop Out.
  3. Yep, that Dr. Hanna. He is an awesome Surgeon and a Great Guy. Wonderful bedside manner as well.
  4. Hey Doxie, Congrats on the 50lbs:-) I am a newbie sleeved Nov 7th. Just wondering what my future may have. How is your eating now? Does it hurt to eat? Are you eating real food? Thanks for any insight, good or bad
  5. Wow, that is awesome. You are awesome. Thank you for posting this. Makes my postop mean so much more.
  6. Wow, you folks are doing great. I was sleeved on the 7th and Im having trouble getting in any liquids, let alone the Protein shakes. Im lucky to finish a Water bottle in the day. My pain now is at the incision sites. A few air bubbles here and there that hurt a lot. But that passes. Great job everyone.
  7. Cpap is the machine many of us sleep with due to sleep apnea.
  8. My CPAP setting is really high. Like 17. At times, when I wake up in the morning I feel as though I have been blown up like a balloon. I was worried this might happen after the sleeve and possibly cause my issue. Well, I was right. I don't know how long I had the thing on. But, It DID BLOW UP my little tummy. I suffered for many hrs because of it. The pain was miserable. Lots of walking, lots of walking, lots of walking. I will not be using my CPAP again, at least until Im healed. IMABear
  9. Surgery went great. I have such an Awesome Dr. I will say, the gas pain was so intense, i felt like I was having a Heart Attack. Pain Meds, a very little bit of walking and plenty of rest today fixed that. Now, I guess, 9hrs out. I am doing pretty damn good. Already had some sips of Water and get to have ice chips. Ill try to keep folks posted.
  10. Well, Im off to the Hospital now. Should be under the Knife at 9 this morning. Big Nervous Smile :-) IMABear
  11. Well the day is almost here. Nov 7th. Getting a little nervous. No turning back
  12. I did the same. Also, I don't think I was a faithful the past two weeks with my Liq diet. I had a damn Headache for 2 weeks straight. Finally Sat afternoon, woke up headache free. Whew... Drank my MagCitrate this morning. Strict Clear Liq only today and tomorrow. Big Ol suck out 3/4 of my Stomach on Wednesday.
  13. I have yet to have my Sleeve. But, I have had my Abdomen opened from top to bottom, twice..... the Staple removal is no more than a little pinch. Nothing to be worried or scared of:-)
  14. I sure enjoy going to someones profile and my instant thought is "Oh Crap", and I mean that in a good way. Great job. By the way, Im from Riverside and my parents still live there.
  15. What the Hell!!!! You need to have your Dr find you a New Anesthesiologist for the next go around. That is just BS. Any Anesthesiologist worth their Degree can intubate or at least use an LMA for an elective, controlled surgery like this. I wish you the best of luck and hang in there.
  16. My Doc has me on Two Protein shakes and One Meal a Day. Been doing pretty good. I sure make that one meal count though I still have a headache at some point of everyday. Not like last Thursday though, wanted to cut my head off...
  17. Good Luck and Heal Well:-)
  18. Caffeine is a Diuretic. That is why they want us to stay away from it. It could add to dehydration..
  19. Nov 7th here... I too work in healthcare. Not really nervous, yet. Just trying to make it through the next week of work. Come monday. I will most likely be very nervous. What kind of PreOp Diet does your Dr have you on?
  20. I did the same. On my liq diet now. Yet, my Dr allows one meal a day with 2 shakes. Suffering because I waited till the last minute to wean off Soda. The withdrawal headache is killing me.
  21. FYI, I am single Haha, couldn't resist...
  22. Funny thing, I had this exact saying in my head all day. I was going to post it when I got home. You beat me to it...
  23. Just the idea of Sharting myself is a serious complication to Me....
