Kspritchett reacted to dullkey20 in Broccoli Ricotta BakeI just came across this recipe on Pinterest (Love that site) That I thought I'd share. It seemed like a good, easy, Sleeve friendly recipe!
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh chopped broccoli
1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
2 egg whites
1 tbsp dijon mustard
Diretions:
1. Preheat oven to 360°. Grease a 9x9 baking dish.
2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Spread mixed ingredients into the baking dish.
3. Bake for 50-55 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy for Breakfast or as a side dish for brunch!
* This is a fairly healthy dish, but for an even skinnier version, skip the cheddar cheese and add other veggies, such as onions, tomatoes, or mushrooms.

Yup. I bought the bariatric ones too, they are pretty awful. I asked my surgeon and nut they both said the gummy vitamins are fine. You can get the anywhere and they're pretty cheap.

I switched to gummy vitamins because I could not stomach the chewables. I wasn't taking my vitamins because I hated them so much. Decided it was better to take something even if it isn't as good than nothing at all. My doctor agreed. I currently take Vitafusion Multi Vites Gummy Vitamins from Sam's Club, 4 daily. I love these!

I was in to see the doc last week for my one week post op and he told me that I could go ahead and start supplements. So Saturday I took my first set of multivitamins about 45 minutes after finishing my protein shake for breakfast and within 2 minutes, they came right back up. I hate chewable vitamins to begin with and can't believe I wasted my money on these things that I will never take. I need to find something else that agrees with me. Can anyone give me an idea of what they are taking on a daily basis, so I can get my vitamin/supplement regimen in order. Before surgery, I took the gummy vites for adults and was wondering if people were taking those too?

Kspritchett reacted to aldmb2 in Protein?I can only have clear liquids, so having greek yogurt in anything is an issue. I did add a scoop to my chicken broth this afternoon & I would sooner die a 1,000 deaths that eat that again.

Kspritchett reacted to aldmb2 in Protein?I know there are probably 100,000 posts about this but Im being too lazy to look. Im 5 days post op and I feel ok, but I know Im not getting my protein. I take 3 sips of the shake & Im full. It took my 45 mins to drink 6oz's. And I had to keep adding ice cause warm shakes are nasty.... Is there any easier way to get protein in??? My Dr. suggested 50-60mg per day. I only have 20 today

Kspritchett reacted to Butterflylegacy in ProteinChobani champions Greek yogurt made for toddlers. I've seen honey/vanilla, very berry, and orange vanilla flavors. Very good for Protein low calories and sugar and only 3.5 ounces a serving. These have become my #1 go to food.

Kspritchett reacted to Minckle in ProteinThe one thing that never made me sick was Cherry Nectar with Bariatric Advantage Berry crystal vitamins mixed in. My sleeve likes it and it gives me tons of proteins and vitamins so that I have plenty of energy. Yesterday, I was a little nauseous so I went back to it and today I feel 100% better.
