  1. I paid around 7350 dollars. It was for everything except flight to San Diego. It included airport transportation, hotel, pre-surgery tests, surgery, clinic, local transportation, everything. I did find 2 other options that were a little less but I just felt a better connection with Dr. Gonzalez when we spoke on the phone he answer my questions and took the time to explain the process, the other doctors were more of a sales call they were more pushy to sell the surgery. Plus using the medical travel agency I felt more secured they took care of everything and they told me that If I needed anything I could call them so I felt safer, which is a really good thing specially going into a foreign country. Hope this helps! and good luck!
  2. I know that is hard to find a good doctor in Mexico, but I had my surgery with Dr. Francisco Gonzalez in Tijuana Mexico, I contacted him through MexMedTours.com and everything went amazing, they answered all my pre-op questions, the transportation, hotel and clinic services were very absolutely amazing. I just wanted to recommend this doctor because I know how hard it can be to do it by yourself.
  3. I had gastric sleeve surgery and so far I've lost 100 pounds, I love it!!! = D. I had my surgery with Dr. Francisco Gonzalez in Tijuana Mexico. He was great since the start when I first called him and he took the time to explain different surgery options and answer all my questions. He told me to call Mario at MexMedTours.com to help me out with my travel, transportation and accommodation needs and he also gave me a great service. I could not have done it without them. Plus they have been kept in touch after the procedure to check on my progress and answer questions that I have, which is great. When I started looking at my options I was totally lost. After speaking with Dr. Gonzalez I realized that this was a good option, after some online research I found out that he had good reviews, plus I talked to some references he gave me and they all liked the experience of having their surgeries with him. I just wanted to post this out there because I know how hard it is to find a good doctor, I've been there and I wanted to help both patients that are looking to have a weight loss surgery done and also Dr. Gonzalez which he literally changed my life for the best.
  4. It's my testimony, but I'm so happy with Dr. Gonzalez I would not mind sounding as an advertisement, he treated my very very well and has turned around my health and my life.
  5. Thank you!! I had the surgery about 7 months ago! wow it has gone so fast! but It has been one of the best decisions in my life! so so happy =D
  6. I was told that it basically depends on the border customs agent, obviously if you have your passport that is your best bet. If you don't have it they the customs agent may not say anything or he might send you to a secondary inspection and they make you wait even more until they check their system and verify that you are a US citizen.
  7. For those traveling abroad don't forget your passports. I had the surgery with Dr. Francisco Gonzalez through MexMedTours.com and they send me a list before hand of what items I would need. I will try to find it on my email and post it here, it was very helpful for me.
