Surgery was Aug 29th. I am down 20# from surgery, but i have lost 4 " off my belly. I feel great and should have done this sooner. I am able to get all the Water down daily and all the Protein. I start soft food in a day. I feel amazing. No problems so far. I have not had my 2 week checkup Sept. 17 so all I do is walk walk walk and putter around the yard.
I started this journey on May 3rd I was 317# first appt was 289# day of surgery 284# So I feel amazing all the time.
Mine was a BMI 44 and getting diagnosed with hyperglycemia, severe sleep apnea, fatty liver and cholesterol almost equal to my weight 298 weight was 317 all at once. Time for change
I started the approval process June 6th Had to have sleep study June 13 I have sleep apnea. I got a machine and use it everynite. I could tell the difference when they did the tritation and found the right pressure setting. I slept much better then and now. I had an extra 4 weeks before approval because of the tests. I was told by my PCP and surgen that the sleep apnea should go away once I have significant weight loss. Not sure how much weight that will be. I have read that some surgens require a certain amount of time on the machine before they will do surgery. Mine only required starting treatment. Hope that helps.
I got great advice from another person. Bug them, pester them, dont leave them alone. I was on track for late sept or early October. I called and was able to slip right in because they opened up other dates.
