Hi all, I had my surg (band w/imbrication) this am. I was back home by noon, pleased w/that. Pain is under controll. Heating pad is working great. Biggest complaint is extremely sore/dry throat........if sipped warm tea, room temp water(since I was told to stay away from iced cold fluids now) Any suggestions to help throat? Has anyone tried chloraseptic spray? And how long does the throat issue last? I'm extremely glad surg is done, I'm looking forward to my new healthier lifestyle! Banded x 1 day! Yay! Whew who!

Hi all, I'm scheduled for band & plication on 7/30. I'm very nervous and excited. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and under prepared. I don't have my pre op appointment until this thurs 7/19 but I was emailed a diet that I'm suppose to start today. I see people on here talking about full liquids .....etc. what is the day of surgery like? Pain? Nausea? Diet?

Congrats! On your success. Did you have the lap band alone or did you have the lap band with imbrication? I'm scheduled to have the later procedure with Dr Wilkenfield in a few weeks. I'm excited & nervous.

Hi I'm scheduled for this new iLAP procedure on 7/30/12. I'm very nervous about it, because I have never had any type of surgery before. Can anyone talk about how your recovery went? My Doc does it as outpatient, so I plan to go home the same day. How was your first days after surgery?
