Hi. I am a newbie as well and just made my decision yesterday. I am 45 years old and have struggled with my weight all my life with many ups and downs. I see my mom still struggling at 65 years old. I do not want to struggle for the rest of my life. My advice to you is if it is safe to do the procedure then do it now while you are young. Good luck. Christi

Hi. I'm new to this site and just made my decision today. After struggling with weight my whole life, and realizing that I will struggle for the rest of my life, I decided to stop struggling. I have generations of women in my family who have battled weight their whole lives. It is now time for transformation and change! The next few months will be filled with nutritionist appointments, insurance paperwork, doctor consultations, blood tests, butterflies (I'm sure) and then finally in August I will have surgery.
