  1. Well they said they won't do it as long as I test positive. .
  2. I guess my surgery will be delayed at least 6 weeks. I found out that I tested positive for H-Pylori which is a bacterial infection in my stomach. Apparent it's most likely been there since I was a child. 3 antibiotics. Frustrating. I hate delays. Uggggg!!!

  4. Well I think I'm almost there. Completed my doctors apts, NUT and psyc eval. Now waiting on insurance approval and surgery date. Most likely will be sleeves middle to end of sept. I can hardly wait! So ready for this new chapter!
  5. Well I think it's in track. Just lots of appts to fit in between work. Plus insurance approval but it's waiting until everything gets turned in but that can't be done until I get all appts done. I live about 45 min away so it's not like I can just run over there.
  6. Ugggg I want my date!
  7. You look fabuliois. Question about your leak. Did you get sleeved or Lapland. Did you have to go back into surgery???
  8. What are you dipping your crab legs in??? Are you only eating 2-4 ounces of crab? That's great results, I hope when it's my turn I will have the same results.

  10. Actually I haven't had the surgery yet. :-). Most likely won't be I til sometime in sept. But just all the low self esteem has certainly put a damper on my sex life. I prob shouldn't have said that on here. :-)
  11. I am so excited about this new chapter. I'm so looking forward to seeing my collarbones, wearing cute clothes, shopping, To Actually look on the mirror and not throw up! Oh yea an sex, lots of it. Lol.
  12. My doctor does have a NUT and Psy on staff that's who I am using, but for some reason they are not covered. . Bummer I know but hey I'm thankful for the bulk being covered and there are a lot of self pay out there so I shouldn't complain.

  14. I did have to gain a few pounds to get my insurance to pay for it. I was so close and have been struggling for years. I'm only 4'11 so my weight really shows up.
  15. I Went to the Seminar on Thursday and they already called me today. They told us in the seminar to expect up to 2 weeks before they conact us, so I was excited to get a call from the doctors office this quick. She got info on my insurance and since my BMI is over 40 all I need is psyc eval and nut consult but that's it! My insurnace is easy as far as this process. THankfully so many people in my office have already paved the road for me so hopefully it should be smooth sailing. My first dr appt is July 10th, my nut and psyc eval is scheduled for July 11. She said the Dr. requires 2 nut visits so I will get that scheduled later. Once done they submit to insurance and it takes 2-3 weeks for approval. Nut apt is $75 per session so x2 and my Psych appt is $125 so all that is out of pocket. When it's all said and done with co pays etc, my out of pocket will be approx $500 which is going to be totally worth it. I want this now!!! I hate waiting. Hopefully, the end of Aug surgery will be set, Sept at the latest. Did I mention, I hate waiting!!! I know lots of Home work to do until then. Ive got lots to learn about what all I can and cannot eat afterwords, etc.
  16. I'm new..just getting started on this journey. You made me laugh. I look forward to more stores as the days go by. Keep us posted. thanks and good luck!
  17. Wow...I am just starting my journey. Last Thursday I went to my required seminar to get the ball rolling. I've been going back and forth for years. I'm 43, divorced for 19 years and now becoming an empty nester. I must say I'm so excited about the possibilites, but so scared I will be the exception. I know if I follow the process, it will work. I so need this. I found this sight yesterday and literally can't stop looking at it. The stories, like yours makes me tear up. I'm so happy for you and I can't tell you how much it helps me getting motivated and started. Now, I can hardly wait and want it down now! Most people in my office say it's about a 3 month process to get everything done and the insurance on board, so hopefully September will be my month. I can't imagine, this time next year I might actually get into a bathing suit and actually take some pictures with me in them instead of always being the photographer. Anyway....congrats on your success and thank you for sharing because it does help hearing things like this to give us hope.
  18. Everyone from my work who has done the sleeve has taken 6 weeks off becase the doctor will sign off for 6 weeks. However, I asked this question becase I can't possibly take 6 weeks off, I don't have that much sick time so therefore I won't get paid. A friend of mine said she got hers done on a Wed and she went back to work on Monday. I guess everyone is different, but I was just asking what other people were doing. Basically for you who is getting a hard time from your work....you just take off as much time as you need. Don't let anyone pressure you into anything. When YOU are ready go back, then go back.
