  1. My dr. lets me do creamy cereal (like cream of wheat) and grits. They just need to be soupy.
  2. Which soups are you finding that you like? I can't stand a lot of them... I'm just having a hard time with the "cream of" soups. They seem to rich to me!
  3. I'm not a July 20th Bandster but I am a July 19th Bandster I am STARVING! I called my dr. yesterday and spoke with the nurse. She said I can't move on to soft food until he sees me... which isn't until next week So I'm still just doing the creamy liquid diet. I've made LOTS of smoothies and I've been eating babyfood (fruits and stuff... the pouch things). So far I have lost 14 lbs since the pre-surgery diet.
  4. it's good to know that I'm not the only one feeling sore! Today I actually feel a little better. Maybe I just over-did it yesterday. I have to move into a new classroom next week... and my hubby will be doing the lifting for me!
  5. I am just moving on to the "creamy liquid" diet... and I just can't seem to get excited about any of the choices! The Protein shakes are SO GROSS and too sweet to me. Does anyone know of a good tasting Protein shake??? What things did you survive on during this stage?
  6. I just had my surgery on Thursday (June 19th). I had a hiatal hernia that was corrected at the same time. I know I can't lift more than 10 lbs and I'm trying my best, but with a 30 lb 2 year old it is hard not to. Now I am SO SORE on the inside... almost like something has been pulled/bruised. I'm starving, of course I'm starving so I can't figure out sometimes if I'm hungry or aching...
  7. Hi! I'm from Macon, GA and am going to be having my lapband surgery on July 19th with Dr. Bagnato. I am SHOCKED that my insurance company approved me on the first try! I am glad I found this forum to come to and ask my millions of questions. My family isn't too supportive of this decision. They think I should lose weight the "old fashioned" way and think I'm just trying to take the easy way out. It's irritating because I HAVE TRIED the old fashioned way! I had to do 6 months of dieting prior to this and guess how much I lost? NOTHING. I look forward to getting to know folks and hopefully see great results soon!
  8. Hi! I'm from Macon also. I'm having my surgery on July 19th. I've had a few surgeries- 2 c-sections, tonsils, laproscopic, etc. I'm not at all worried about this one for some reason. I am so excited to get it done! Maybe we can have our own little "macon" support group. I was surprised at how hard it was to find someone to do the psych eval and nutritional eval that my insurance required.
