  1. Hi everyone. I had my sleeve 12/13/11. I've lost 75 poundsS. I had a lot of pockets of fat that hanged from my back my sides and my tummy. Even though I'm down to a size 10 from a 22, I became depressed when I undressed. I tried everything to firm up and burn that fat. I got up to 5 miles 5 days on the tracks. I got a lot of "oh my God, you look great!" but, I was depressed when I undressed. On 8/23/12, I went to phrase 2. I had SmartLipo. I'm still bruised and swollen, but I know I will be pleased after I heal up. I will let everyone know as I progress. Good luck to all who are about to start this journey.....it is SO worth it. Stay prayerful.
  2. I wanna Zumba! I started walking in April....huffing and puffing along the way. Before I knew it I was up and going....no more huffing and puffing and up to five miles per day five days a week. Now, it's to hot and the air quality is unhealthy. I wanna Zumba!
  3. I'm so happy you got good news!! I wish you the best and August 10th is just around the corner. Continue to pray and stay strong. The payoff is amazing!!! You asked when did I start exercising. My surgery was 12/13/11. I started to fill strong enough to walk after my 3 month checkup in March. I walked 1/2 mile for three days then 1 mile the next three days. It was hard and I was out of breathe but the more I did it, the easier it got. So, I pushed on pass the itching and aches. By the end of May, I was up to 3 miles 5 days a week. I saw a huge weight drop and pushed myself to five miles 5 days a week. Well, it didn't hurt anymore and my body was used to it. At my 7 month checkup July 13, 2012, Dr. Yu said congrats you've passed your goal. Now I do three days a week and I'm still losing. It's slow now, about 3 lbs in 10 days. I will pray that you get through your surgery with zero complication.
  4. Yep, I got me a nice wig too. But my hair is growing back. I'm happy about that and a lot of unwanted hair is growing too. I can deal with it.
  5. Wow, that's great! I also had dr. Yu. I saw him today for my seven months out ck up. My surgery was 12/13/11. I went from 230 to 165. You will do good but it's hard with ups and downs but the payoff is great. I struggled with each stage but I kept getting another chance to work toward my goal. I still hate protein drinks but I will down them without a thought. I take the journey one day at a time. Keep a journal. I struggled to walk on the track until I started doing 5 miles 5 days a week. I've stalled for the pass two months but I continue because I know the scale will change soon. You will do good.
  6. Wonderful! Not a size 8 yet, but I went from size 22 to size 10! I had my surgery 12/13/2011 and I've lost 63lbs.
  7. I sometimes sweat after eating hot food. I'm six months post op and it happens frequently. I will discuss it with the dr soon. Good luck and God bless u.
