Did you need to do a pre-approval phase at all? Did you need to have psychological counseling? Did you need to pre-diet or do a pre-op shake phase?
People that haven't been sleeved that read this - go into this 100% invested in it, because without that, you could hurt yourself.
At 4 weeks I got in trouble from my nutritionist for eating 1% cottage cheese (3 teaspoons!!) I was told I HAVE to be careful because the first 6 weeks you can get a leak, you could hear the strain when I said I also tried a few bites of a poached egg. Albeit, my nutritionist and surgeon are a lot more strict than many I have seen here, but really, you should know that the sugar is HORRIBLE for your sleeve, horrible for your diet and not good for you, period.
I think calling your surgeon, nutritionist, or getting some psychological counseling is what you are going to need. 8 days after surgery I could barely get down Water and a Protein shake. It's as though you are completely and utterly trying to sabotage yourself, you need to look at the big picture.
Many of us have families, and gatherings, and I have to cook for mine, but I don't get to eat what they are eating. I would stay away from them when they are eating things I can't eat.
The sleeve is a tool, you need to learn to use the tool and I'm going on six weeks out and I wouldn't even remotely think of ice cream or cake.
You need to realize right now you are just recovering from a MAJOR surgery. Having 85% of your stomach removed is extremely major. Your entire *stomach was cut in 1/2 and staples were put in. You are most likely suffering some depression after surgery and my suggestion is if you feel like you are going to lose control, go brush your teeth and drink some more water, take something for acid, take a gas-x.
The grumbling you feel in your stomach is NOT hunger, it's acid, gas, or your stomach attempting to heal after a very serious surgery.
    Best of luck.

Good on you for putting yourself out there!!!
Can I put my two cents in here (as I am a professional matchmaker & dating coach)?
Girl..... You need to get out there and DATE!!! Meet men of all shapes and sizes, men of all interests and activities and have some fun with it! Its OK to get to know someone and not fall in love with them. Besides.... You need dating practice and isnt it better to test-drive men that you arent a bumbling drooling gaga girl over?
You dont owe one iota of explanation or shouldnt feel obligated if there is no attraction (you cant force chemistry) but you should be up front with the men by saying something to the effect of "im so glad we can be friends and perhaps we can help each other navigate the crazy world of dating."
Enjoy this time in your life, go getcha groove on and dont worry.... We all have to kiss a few frogs before we found our princes!!

Sorry to play devils advocate here, but I don't think any of those are great choices. Go online and check the sodium content for each of those and I think you may be alarmed. Where are you located? Is there a Whole Foods in your area? They always have an awesome selection of soups made fresh daily. Also, maybe there's a little cafe in your neighborhood that you've been wanting to try? Be bold make new restaurant friends! I'm sure you can find some great new and healthy options with only a leeeetle bit of effort . Good luck!

I'm not here to judge...cause God know's and I know that the pre-op diet is extremely difficult. But ask yourself this. The pre-op diet for me was the ultimate test. If I could not get myself to comply with the 2 week diet then why in the world would I make this life-long commitment.
I have now been post op for less than a week....and let me tell you something....the hunger does not competely go away. My stomach might be full but my brain wants to keep eating.
Make sure you are ready to make this commitment.

WHAT!!?!????!!!!! I am OUTRAGED at your sister!! Fat people surgery?! Wow, she should be glad she is NOT MY sister! *sigh*....breathe Leslie....
People will say the stupidest things, remember: Ignorance is Bliss. Period. They are un-educated about the process. Some will say that it is the "easy way out". Well, let me telllll YOU! The easy way OUT is sitting on the couch, gorging and starting that diet on "monday". The easy way OUT is not being able to move, exercise, breathe, or LIVE. That is the easy way OUT,,,OUT TO YOUR GRAVE. We all know how many calories are on a plate just by looking at it because we have been professional dieters all or most of our lives. They don't understand THAT. This journey is NOT easy by ANY means. But it is WORTH IT.
    Diet and Exercise...WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?! !!!!
UGH!! THIS TOPIC ALWAYS BOILS MY BLOOD.
Stay strong, you KNOW that this is the BEST decision for you and your LIFE. No regrets. I would do it 1000 times again and NOW, 6 months out, EVERYONE wants to know what I did, that I look SO great...I HAD FAT PEOPLE SURGERY AND I'M PROUD OF IT!!!!
Don't let ignorance and jealousy spread. Keep your head up and keep on keepin on!

I have a suggested menu from my NUT but I've kind of just been going by how I'm feeling. Like if I'm in the mood for something sweet I'll do a shake or jello but if I want savory I'll have some veggie broth.
