  1. Hi everyone, Recently I had my lap band removed in an emergency surgery. This was just a week ago. I lost almost 80 pounds and deep down I am sad that it had to be removed. I was very sick, vomiting all the time. Insurance stopped paying for doctor visits which kept me away from the doctor. I barely ate anything. I was severly dehydrated, my stomach tied itself around the band and every organ in my body was affected. I am happy it is gone..its kind of bitter sweet almost. I really cant tell you how I feel except that I am afraid to gain this weight back. I am not really eating anything. I am depressed, and still recovering. I just don't know how to feel anymore.... I just wanted to share.
