  1. I'm shooting to be banded in July. I have my approval from insurance, and I'm meeting with my surgeon on Monday, June 11, 2012 for final pre-op visit and to schedule. Due to scheduling conflicts at work, the earliest I can take off from work is the second week in July. So...crossing fingers that my banding will be the week of July 9-13.
  2. Hi Everyone! I'm new to this site. I was actually told about this site by a person (who is now a 'band buddy') who was attending my behavioral management class (that was required by BC/BS IL). I found this past Monday (June 4, 2012) that I was approved for surgery. And I'm ecstatic!!!! My concern: toning once the procedure is done. I know the weightloss is 'low' compared to bypass...about 1-2 pounds a week. I'm still concerned about excess skin/saggy skin. Does anyone know of any simple toning exercises that will help minimize the sag (I keep thinking about the movie 'Click' when Adam Sandler lost all that weight due to illness and he was playing with his belly flap...I cracked up....but it makes me think).
  3. I have BC/BS of IL. My surgeon's office faxed my paperwork over on Thursday evening and BC/BS faxed an approval letter the next day...so my approval came in less than 24 hours. I was pretty impressed. I was told by the surgeons office that it takes about a month to hear back, and the insurance told me it usually took 7-10 days to review and approve/deny. So 24-hour turn around was completely unexpected.
