    So Angry!

I am wondering why he reacted like he did...is he overweight and jealous? Is he really protective of you? Does he not like heavy people? Just curious. You know that he will come around. Men just don't seem to have the ability (ir desire, sometimes) to put themselves in someone else's shoes! :-/. But like someone else said...you've got us.

    Help

Is there a way to get those tempting, high-calorie foods out of your house? Is that practical for you? Or like spmeone else said...just allow yourself 'a little' ... or punish yourself by exercising more when you over do it. You said it yourself---you've done well for two years...don't cave now, girl!!!

    Single Incision Vs. Traditional

I was banded 5/29 and I have 5 incisions--my surgery was done with a robot. Three of the incisions are quite small--1/4 to 1/2"--and the other two are 1" to 1-1/4". Smaller incisions were my preference; quick healing. Felt good and back to work on the following Monday--my surgery was on the previous Tuesday.
  7. I was banded a month ago and have found it to be a fabulous tool, although nothing will have a unanimous fan base. What have you heard was wrong with the band? What kinds of problems?

    First Fill Today....

I, too, had my first fill today. Had about 3cc from surgery, and he added another 1.5cc. Feel good--can definitely tell a difference! Sounds like you are doing great with your protein--protein shakes or ? I would also appreciate some ideas to curb the hunger.... Lol
  9. Banded May 29th and am feeling pretty good. Hungry. Scared something will go wrong. Not sure what to eat or how to eat it. I've got an appt with my doc tomorrow. First visit post-op. So tired of protein drinks! Can anyone suggest some decent ones that can be purchased at national stores?
  10. Just had surgery on May 29th. Still hungry! haha Glad to be here. Looking for some pals to share the journey! I'm from TX...mom of two...can't wait to make this happen in 2012!

    Re-Banded May 26

Is re-banding common? I am SO scared of that....I was just banded on the 29th of May. What causes that??

    Banded 5/25

Welcome! I am 8 days post op. This has been far more challenging than expected -- that pre-op diet is something! But I am excited for the days ahead. This is a new start for us!! Hang in there!!

    Bcbs Of Il Insurence

Just got mine 8 days ago. We also have BCBS of IL. They were SO NICE about it. No diet requirement anymore. They did require the psych eval., tho. Approval was swift. I don't think they cover fills, tho. Good luck!!

    Complications Post Op

Marylou, Bless you, sweetie! This whole thing can leave us feeling SO isolated! I agree with the person right above me -- I, too, am 8 days post-op and feel like a balloon inflated in my stomach. I, too, threw up the day after surgery -- most likely because I drank too much too quickly. After that, I was done. How much and how quickly are you drinking? The hospital gave me an anti-nausea patch that they said they have GREAT success with -- they last 3 days. The patch goes behind your ear. It's called Scopalamine. Awesome!! Keep us updated on how you are feeling!

Deborah, I just joined tonight, as well. Just had my surgery on May 29th. I live in Granbury -- surgeon was Dr. Brad Hart. I think this is a very scary venture, but just think of the great rewards!! Can't wait to hear back from you! Lisa
