I received my phone call today.......March 8th.....now it is starting to feel like it is really going to happen--by Christmas I will be lookin' mighty good in my red sweater, NO MORE black !! LOL !!

Alexandra...you are sooooooo very helpful!! Thanks so much for the info !! I do have sleep apenia and arthritis but I just made the right BMI by a couple of pounds so I was worried. You are so right about feeling good..........it's not all about the right size, it's about being able to be you again !! All I want is to be able to climb stairs again easily, swinging a golf club again and fit into the rollercoaster w/ the kids this summer. I am at a time in my life that I am in search of a weight loss tool and I pray this is the one !! Thanks again !

Hi Bob, I saw in a post that you are from NJ and were turned down by your insurannce.........I was hoping i could ask you who your ins. is with ?? I have Horizon B/C & B/S of NJ. I have gone for my nutritution appointment, my phyc evaluation and my gastro app. today and the office will not sumit till all this is done so i am afraid i will go through all of this and be turned down. Any help is appreciated........THANKS

Dawn, Don't let anyone rain on your parade...............some people are negative no matter the situation. For example i have a dear friend of 35 yrs that is just a neg person, the cup is always 1/2 empty no matter the situation.......never 1/2 full SO am I going to tell her about my upcoming surgery ?? NEVER !! It is a very personal decision, listen to your heart............I have not told anyone other than my husband & one friend (who is having by pass this month). I don't want to be forced defend my decision especially to the girls who just don't understand because they have never rode that weight on, weight off roller coaster !! GOOD LUCK and think about next years Christmas party........... looking in the mirror wearing your new outfit and liking what you see !!

WOW, Carol what a wonderful loss in such a short time !! The Dr who i had my consult with wants you to go to 3 support meetings before the 1st appointment so I waited 3 months for the consult appointment .... imagine my suprise when the girl in the office said MAYBE we can get you in Feb if you get all the other clearances in time. Usually it takes about 4-6 months after !! I have been doing research on this for about 8 months so when i saw the DR I had already made up my mind. Alex, i am also a jersey girl !! I am from down the shore. So many of your posts have been so helpful during my time of decision.......thanks.

Hi , I am excited now.....had my consult on Friday and I am on my way !! I have my psych evaluation tomorrow morning, have my dietician app.for 2/8 and my gastroenterologist 2/3........then they can give me a date !! There is a chance I can get in Feb. because of a cancellation if all goes well !! I have been reading here for awhile and I not only want to thank you all so much for all the info I have picked up but also all the positive re-enforcement.

I have been reading for a couple of months now and finally will be going for my first Dr consult on the 16th........I am both nervous and excited !! I am in Monmouth County, are there any more from my neck of the woods ??

Hi Everyone, I have my 1st app. for a consultation with the DR. in Jan. and I am learning so much from all of you. This is my ???........are the costs of the fills included in the surgery or is it something that has to be approved each time or how are you billed for that ?? Thanks, Ihvbzs from NJ
