  4. I had my 2 week post op with my surgeon today. I told him I couldn't believe how good I feel. I am so happy I made this decision. I have lost 18 pounds since my surgery on May 31st! Plus, I had lost 10 pounds pre op. So, in 4 weeks, down 28 pounds. I can't believe it. Honestly, I have to give you all a little credit - by reading your posts and advice, I was able to get many questions answered. I get to start on soft foods today, but am really not all that hungry...still, I can't wait to have a bite of refried beans!! Thank you all for being so inspiring!
  5. I had surgery on May 31st. I think the first 2 days were the worst. It was the gas they pumped into me to do the surgery. The pain was across my collar bones. I walked and walked and took my pain meds and that helped. Now, I am 4 days out and feel great. A little sore around the incisions, but feeling pretty good. It is still hard to get my protein and liquids in, but that is improving every day. I think if you do lots of walking, take your meds and get plenty of rest, it really helps with recovery. Good luck!
  6. Me, too! I wish everyone could experience it this way. If you get the pain from the gas, take the pain meds and a heating pad works. Good luck!
  7. Hi, everyone. I am new to this forum, but have been reading your posts a lot to help me get ready. You all gave me confidence and the ability to set realistic expectations. I was sleeved yesterday. I must be one of the lucky ones. I am feeling great. Yesterday, I had trouble with the gas pain, but that has subsided. I am not hungry at all, but am getting my liquids and protein in. I can't wait to start seeing results! I just wanted to write a quick thank you for getting me prepared!
