Ok, I looked up the definition of Bloodless surgery. Being a laparoscopic surgery, and one that is done on an outpatient basis in most of the US, VSG does not require the transfusion of blood or platelets. So pretty much anywhere you go, you are gonna get a "bloodless" surgery.

I'm not sure what is meant by "Bloodless surgery". Best I can tell is you are looking for laparoscopic surgery? If that is the case laparoscopic surgery is standard procedure in mexico pretty much all don't this way.

No offense taken at all. I know my path is not the one most people choose, nor should they, I am more self indulgent than most people so I knew that if I gave up good food before I absolutely had to I'd regret it. As far as a lifestyle change, I absolutely do view this as that, I'll never again be able to sit down and eat a whole Five Guys bacon cheeseburger, or a 22oz bone in ribeye, or have a full plate of seafood portofino w/calamari appetizer ...... This is all a good thing, as that is exactly what brought me to where I was 2weeks ago. I'm only 10 days out and I already am seeing huge improvements. I can walk now, without being in pain, my feet are sore from all the walking I've been doing, but they aren't swelling up like they did before. I'm even looking forward to getting back on a dirt bike and playing in the mud(I haven't done that in 20yrs). I'm not saying the path I chose is right fore anybody but me, I'm saying that is what I did & I have no regrets You do what is right for you. I'm behind you 100%.

Once my date was finally set, I went crazy an made a concerted effort to eat everything I wanted. I over did it more than a few times. Now that I've had my surgery I can say I reall believe it's made it easier on me. I really don't have much of a problem sticking close to my diet, a few cravings but nothing that has made me regret doing this. Either way it'll work out. My way might not be the path most choose, but it has worked for me.

I like this, so, let's see idk what my weight was last saturday, so I'll start w/my pre-op weight. That was 289 (10 days ago) CW 266.8. Although I've been weighing myself everyday so far and sometimes 2-3 times in a day.

Wow, I never thought about fundraising for surgery in that manner, that actually sounds like a great idea. I think anybody that does choose this avenue to improve their lives should feel a moral responsibility to pass on the generosity that was shown to them. Just think, if everyone that receives the blessing of a healthier life through these means made a personal commitment to pay forward 2X what they received how much of a change we could make, and really it wouldn't cost us a dime. Example: I receive $5000. I then commit to contributing $10,000 to helping others. I do this incrementally, say $20/week for 500 weeks (a bit shy of 10 years). The great news is with my lowered food consumption I've actually reduced my food bill by $50/week (or more). I love this idea. I am going to go to my local tech college and offer this up as a project to see what the cost would be to build the website and put the fund managemt tools in place to build this system.

Ultimately yes, you will end up getting back across the border into the US even without a passport. The problem is how long it will take. I regularly cross the border in TJ, Juarez, & Nuevo Laredo & & have seen people detained, searched, & scrutinized for hours, one for 2days (he had a bad attitude) all because they didn't have the proper documents. Think about this, you get held up at the border for 2-3hrs while they check your credentials. This causes you to miss your flight & now you have to reschedule paying a $150 rescheduling fee + the difference in ticket cost, say $200(believe me last minute tickets are more expensive). But wait, there's more!!! The next flight they can put you on isn't till tomorrow morning(Murphy's Law) so now you need to get a hotelfor the night.... Hmmmm.. San Diego, near the airport.... I'd say $150 is pretty conservative, & you'll need ground transportation $50. So, let's see. Looks like $550 & a lost day to me..... Passport = Murphy Repelent

Propylene glycol is non toxic, the only antifreeze it is used in is the newer envirmentaly conscience type (non-toxic & biodegradable). The more traditional toxic antifreeze uses ethelyne glycol.

I'd like to ask, what is his fee & which hospital does he use? Angeles Hospital maybe?
