  1. Thank you kindly!! With each day life only gets sweeter!! Cardiologist just called and have me the GREEN LIGHT for exercise!! I was previously allowed to walk and lift three pounds. I have an 18 month old daughter!!! Haha!! How's your journey going? Best, Sannah
  2. I am sorry. I understand the apprehension your facing. It's hard not to think 'what if's' I am just now eating real food. The surgeon who put my stents in and removed them. Told me food can re open the leak!! I frequently wonder if each bite will be the one to reopen my stomach. The fear is real strong. I have to eat and all of the dr kept telling me to eat. After not eating for three me that it's just not that simple. No desire, good doesn't taste good. Vomiting and the pain and nausea (thankfully the esophageal spasm was diagnosed and treated) I no longer have the pain, nausea or vomiting. My leak didn't present with typical symptoms. Just listen to your body!! Any little sign that appears and if you just don't feel okay, get help!! Always better safe than sorry!! I am here for you!! I know leaks are scary and can easily uproot your life and existence. Hang tight!! Best, Sannah

I am so happy things in my life are better!! I was sleeved dec 5th. You? I have lost 71lbs, but a lot is this is due to my leak and being on fluids for three months. I did a lot of Protein shakes. But received help through other medical means. I am learning to eat again. It's hard!! Learning to cook new foods. It's fun!! Best, Sannah
  7. Thank you everyone for writing all these kind words! I am very appreciative and humbled by all the nice responses! Many of you have been so supportive through this entire 4 mouth process! I am truly amazing and grateful for everyone. You have helped me a long! Your support has meant so much more than I am able to express! Best, Sannah
  8. Thank you kindly! I am still enduring complications from the leak. However, I am getting better! I have a esophageal spasm, which was caused by damage from two metal stents. I also have kidney stones in both of my kidneys! I see the urologist tomorrow. The pain is immense! I recently started medication for my esophageal spasm and can now eat without severe pain, nausea and vomiting. Since eating and keeping it down I am better able to cope with my kidney troubles. Have you been sleeved yet? How is your process going so far? I have a thread titled 'Leak?' You can read about my experience. I try to be explicit and transparent. A lot of details were written while I was medicated, but I hope all is clear! Wishing you wellness, Sannah
  9. Thank you so much for the welcome! I feel like I finally start to enjoy the sleeve and all the benefits!!! Four months later, better late than never right?!
  10. Thank you so much! I was 11 days post op when my leak was found. I told myself 'Gosh if I knew this surgery was so easy, I would have done it sooner!' Haha.. Then the leak happened and nothing was easy!
  11. Aww Thank you kindly!!! We must love our little furry friends right?!
  12. Hey Laura, Man!!! Well, that exam sounds great!!! Jaw ache? I love your plan! Pizza and icecream!!! Easy and they will be bumped up when they head home!!!! That is so great! In Portland, we are really into having our neighborhoods named and they are often uniquely filled with character. We used live in a neighborhood called Hawthorne, its known for liberalism. We went back to one of our favorite little pubs and played some cards. Hubby had a good IPA and we played cards. It was a little slice of heaven!!! We will get back into our older neighborhood with all our hippies!!! Tell the radiologist to hurry up!! Golly! Best, Sannah
  13. I have taken ibuprofen since right after surgery. I am almost 4 months out. It's not caused me any problems and worked better for post surgery pain than any narcotics.
  14. Hi!! How are you doing? Not yet, this coming Thursday. I can't wait!! I think he will be good!! Best, Sannah.
  15. I have explained this in great detail in this thread. I try to be very transparent and share as much as I can. I hope that it's helpful. if you have any questions I would be glad to answer them if you aren't able to find them on the thread. It's a lot to continually type out. I hope your journey is nothing like mine!! Wishing you wellness, Sannah
  16. Hi Laura, How are you doing? Do anything for St. Patrick's Day? My hubby is cooking a big meal tomorrow and our friends are coming over. It should be fun. Thank you so much for the kind thoughts. Food is staying down!! Darn kidney stones are awful!! The pain is coming and going again. Peeing out renal tissue in larger quantities!!! So disturbing!!! I have been wondering if these stones are more than a result from the severe hydration I had from my leak, but also a result of this medicine I was given in the hospital. I was told I was only to have it right after surgery. I given this drugs for weeks in the hospital. At one point a nurse seemed very distraught that I was on it for so long and stopped it right away. At that point my kidney function was pretty low. Can't wait to read my medical records and find out what happened!!! I hope the test tomorrow is easy and productive. Best. Sannah
  17. Another joyous occasion ladies!! This A.M. I weigh 234.6lbs. This is a VERY big deal for me. I have now hit my lowest adult weight. Since getting my esophageal spasm under control, I can eat and my stall is over!!! Yay!! 234 is also the lowest weight I achieved dieting by myself. What a great number to have reached! HAPPY TIMES!!! If this continue to go this good hopefully this strong since of regret will fade!! Thanks for enduring these struggles with me and embracing the celebrations!!!
  18. Thank you ladies!! You are the BEST!!! I hope your doing well!!! Best, Sannah
