  1. If you are ready mentally and have your post op supplies, please try to focus on the future. No sense in stressing yourself out. The procedure is so routine now and if you follow post up care instructions, you should be fine. Think of all the positive things just around the corner. I am a big baby and wad not that nervous. Once they start the IV, your cares go out the wondow. They give you meds for pain and nausea. I wish you a successful procedure as mine was. One night of pain...just push the putton!
  2. Excited? Ready? Best of luck. You should be fine. I am just past 3 weeks. All going well, down at least 15. My surgeon said to expe t 1/2 lb a day but I do not weigh daily.
  3. How exciting for you! Mental and physical preparation a must!
  4. Sleeve done Fri May 11th, 2012 by Dr. Mark Dominguez in Louisiana. So far all is well and much better than I anticipated, so I could not be more pleased. I was 240 at time of surgery and have 100 pounds to lose to get to goal. Last Summer I weighed about 275 and felt horrible. Through doctor visits and tests learned I am insulin resistant and began my own lifestyle changes resulting in some weight loss. This along with high blood pressure, asthma and other health risks led me to the sleeve. I can see already, this was a wise choice. Reading through posts on this forum helped me to prepare. Hopefully my experiences, help someone else.
