  1. I was revised to sleeve May10th 2012. Since surgery to date I lost 28 lb which does not seem alot but I am a slow loser and thats how much total weight that I previously lost with the band in 1st 6 months n then gained it all back cuz I could eat around my band. just like u no major complications but only acid reflux , food getting stuck n vomitting etc whenever I would get a fill to give me some restriction. I had the band put in in 2007 and no weight loss after April, 2008, only gaining untill i gained it all back. I was so nervous about the sleeve cuz I was afraid of failing it too, but I knew that I m not comfortable with bypass surgery so that leave me only one option and after thinking about it for 1 year, i finally did it and I am liking it cuz u m not that crazy hungary n when i eat i get full so soon. i can decide responsibly about my food choices . i also noticed that if i munch on slider food all day i dont lose but if i m sticking to rules I do loose weight, slowly but i do loose weight.
  2. caffe D'vita is brand name, it is in powder form and it has different flavour ( french vanilla, Cappuccino, mocha etc etc). I found them in a coffe isle in a grocery store. Some time I also use only one scoop of Isopure Protein powder (vanilla) and a Tbs of Peanut Butter as well but I always put ice in my Protein shake before blending that way it taste better and is more easy for me to drink. Iam 7 weeks post op and cant each much in the morning. So my protein shake give me enough protein and calories in the morning.
  3. I cant drink Protein shake all by itself at all so I gave it lil flavour. I make my self some ice Cappuccino, here is the recipe, 2 scoop vanilla protein powder(I use isopure, 50gm protein) 2 TSP sugar free Mocha (I use Caffe D'Vita sugar free Mocha) 1 cup milk and some ice I put every thing in my magic bullet and blend it very well. It taste really good and I am kinda addicted to it now.
  4. I am kinda happy now that there are other people like me "slow losers". I am 6 weeks out my band to sleeve revision and i only lost 15 lb while others lost 15-20 lb in first 2 weeks. This morning I was thinking what if I couldn't loose with the sleeve too and that feeling horrified me until I read this thread. This site really gives me motivation to stay focus and be positive. Thanks every one
  5. hi all, I am very new to these kind of forums . I had failed my lap band that i did in 2007, initially i lost about 50 lbs with it but then i developed acid reflux n my doc has to unfill it to the point that i started to gain weight and in the past 5 years with no liquid in band and a pregnancy, i gained all my weight back. I wanna to convert to by pass my surgeon said that sleeve is better option for me so i got my revision to sleeve done on this thursday may10th, 2012. The day of surgery i was weighing 265 lbs ,mmy surgey went, upper GI xray look good the second day. I m home now n trying to keep my self hydrated. I m not really sure how much i should be drinking or eating, i m just sipping isopure zero carb all day n water all day. Anyway i m gonna weigh my self 2 weeks post op and then will post updates, meanwhile if u guys can suggest how much/ when/ what to eat. By the way i m on full liquids now for next 2 weeks. I m excited nd hopping that this surgery will solve my weight related problems.
